"I know, but still," Tony said, "destroying Asgard, that's a little extreme."
Thor was silent for a moment before saying: "Throughout my life, I have been told the prophecy of Ragnarok. How it would be the end of all life. I would die. Odin would die. Asgard and the Nine Realms would be destroyed. We were to have one last glorious battle. But would that mean anything? If we are just reborn to do the cycle over again, then it is nothing. But not only that, but the cycle powers beings above us, treating us like pawns. It is an insult, one that they shall regret."
"Yes, but how," Loki asked. "You are powerful, but the Ones Who Sit Above In Shadows aren't exactly weak themselves."
"I will figure out a way," Thor replied.
