Y/n's POV

B/f/n and I sat chatting for the last couple of minutes of class, losing focus on the classwork we were supposed to be doing. Our teacher had just assigned the groups for our mandatory fundraising project and we were excited because we got grouped with our crushes. The project is done in pairs and each pair is assigned a specific product to sell at their own booth on the day of the fundraising event held on campus. A lot of students get excited about it because whichever pair raises the most money gets exempt from homework for the last month of school.

"I know damn well B/c and I are gonna win that prize," B/f/n boasted as I doodled on my paper.

I looked up at her, "Yeah okay. If you're even able to stay focused."

She rolled her eyes at me and an idea suddenly popped up in my mind.

"Let's make a bet," I stated with a smirk.

B/f/n looked at me with an equally eager smile, "Alright, let me hear it."

"I bet C/n and I raise more money."

"And if you guys don't?"

"Then I'll confess to C/n. But if we do, then you have to confess," I proposed.

B/f/n looked at me as she considered my proposition before finally replying, "Bet."

This could be interesting...

When the bell finally rang, B/f/n and I went to our usual spot under the large trees in the field for lunch. When we got there, C/n and B/c were already sitting under the tree's shade, waiting for B/f/n and me.

B/f/n and I sat down next to B/c and C/n respectively, and we each split into our own conversations about our projects as we ate.

"So we're selling cookies," C/n stated.

I held out the paper of instructions and requirements so that we both could read it.

"Looks like we're gonna have to make decorations and signage for our booth too," I said as I handed the paper to him so he could look at it more closely.

He scanned the guidelines, "The selling price is already set." I nodded my head in understanding as he continued speaking, "At least it says we'll be able to walk around for an hour while all the booths get cleaned up."

"Yay! The rides and games are always so fun."

He agreed before setting the paper to the side.

"So whose house are we baking at?" I asked.

"We could do it at my house. No one's gonna be home until late in the night so we would have the kitchen to ourselves."

"Sounds good."

I was so distracted by the fact that C/n and I would be alone at his house that I completely forgot to even ask what kind of cookies he wanted to make.

When we finally reached his house after walking from school together, I couldn't help but be nosy and look at all the pictures and decor in his living room. Especially the pictures with C/n in them. He was such a cute kid!

I stifled a laugh as I noticed a somewhat embarrassing yet extremely adorable photo of a young C/n in a costume.

He turned around, noticed what I was staring at, and gave me a glare, "Shut up."

"I didn't say anything!"

His grim facial expression only caused me to let out my loud laughter.

His scowl deepened, "Yeah haha it's super funny, but it's time to start Y/n."
