(this chapter is gonna consist of multiple days because I'm impatient and want to get them back to campus for one of Peyton's softball games, so bare with me)
Paiges POV:
Peyton and I woke up super early and said goodbye to everyone to head to the airport to go to Minnesota today to see my mom and other siblings for the New Year.
We just landed in Minnesota and I've got to say, the matching hoodies Peyton got me for Christmas are super comfortable. I was able to sleep the entire time on the plane.
Peyton actually announced earlier today her NIL deals with Jersey Mikes and Dunkin' donuts on Instagram and I couldn't be happier for her, she deserves everything she has worked for, with everything she's been through.
When we get to the Uber Peyton rests her head on my shoulder so I decide to put my hand under her hoodie and just rub her back gently because I know she's super nervous to meet my mom and other siblings today. But I've tried to reassure her everything will be okay because everything worked out perfect with my dad and Drew but she's still nervous.
"It will be okay" I whisper to her before kissing the side of her head.
"I know, I'm just trying not to overthink" she says softly as she reaches to hold my hand, which I gladly accept.

We make it to my moms house and knock on the door. I can tell Peyton is still nervous but not as much as before. I think the car ride here really gave her time to not stress about the situation which aim happy about.
Shortly after my mom opens the door and has a big smile on her face when she realizes it's us.
"Oh my goodness, it's so good to see you guys" she says as she pulls me in for a hug
"And it's so nice to meet you Peyton, you can call me Amy" she says as she pulls Peyton in for a hug too
"It's nice to meet you" Peyton responds with a smile
Shortly after we head inside and Peyton meets my brother and sister, Ryan and Lauren. The three of them are currently playing minecraft on the Xbox in the living room while I help my mom cook in the kitchen.
"You really love her" my mom says randomly as I'm cutting the vegetables
"What?" I say
"I see the way you and Peyton look at each other and I see the way you look at her playing minecraft with ur siblings right now, you guys are so in love"
"Yea, I would do anything for her and she would do anything for me. She makes me so happy you have no idea" I say
"Well I'm glad you found your person, because I don't think she is going anywhere"
"I hope not" I joke
"How have you been dealing with the fame?" My mom asks changing the topic
"I mean there's good days and bad days. There are days I wake up and see a bunch of hate and days I wake up and see a bunch of support. There are days where there are cameras constantly in my face and then there are days where I can just relax with my girlfriend like nothing else in the world matters" I say honestly
"And your mental health?" she asks
"I mean I'm always gonna be stressed, worrying about living up to what everyone sees me as and playing to my potential but without Peyton my mental health would be so much lower. I truly am happy" I tell her
"I love you so much" she says coming in to give me a hug"
"I love you too"

(New Years Eve)
Currently everyone is asleep other than Peyton and I. We are both in my room watching the ball drop on the TV right now.
"10.."
"This is so weird, I will actually have someone to kiss on New Years" Peyton says as we stand up and hold each other close
"9.."
"Me too" I say softly looking into her eyes.
"8.."
"I can look into your eyes forever" she says which makes me blush and I lower my head onto her shoulder to hide my face
"7.."
"Aw, did I make you blush" she says teasingly
"6.."
"Shush" I say into her neck smiling
"5.."
"You are so cute" she says kissing the side of my head
"4.."
I lift up my head and look into her eyes again with a smile on my face as we listen to the rest of the count down
"3..2..1..Happy New Year!"
We both pull each other in for a sweet and passionate kiss that lasts a little longer than it should, and then finally pull away and just hold each other in a sweet and loving embrace.
"I'm so happy I get to spend my year with you" Peyton says
"And I wouldn't change anything in the world, than to spend the rest of my life with you" I say honestly before pulling her in for another kiss
