Mothers teaching me not to be a coward. She says only the true hearted can be brave, but I don't think I can be... Today we encountered a strange man on the streets and he told me and mother he'd kill us. I ran and his behind mother while she stood he ground and told him the reasons why he was that way. The man ended up walking me and mother home and thanking mother for the advice. I didn't understand anything about it. All mother said was he was wrong for coming for me and her and he changed his mind. He had a gun too but he emptied the bullets out and gave it to mother with no fight. My mother must be a super hero. I don't understand it as an nine year old but I hope some day I am able to do that too.
