Chapter 22| Ruler of Qi

Wang Lei bowed down as he greeted the ruler of Qi country, Huizhongi as both emperors shared a warm smile and greeting. Huizhongi was a young ruler of Qi country. He was a young man in his thirties with a muscular build. He had lean shoulders and sharp features with long grey hair. Wang Lei was standing at the door frame with his people which include his family members and all the important members of his nation including all the important ministers, rich elites and guards were all present. Huang Dewei was standing right next to Wang Lei while doing his duty.

The ruler of Qi also came along with his few important people and slaves who were holding gifts in their hands. They handed over gifts to Wang Lei and his servant quickly came running to take those gifts while Wang Lei thanked the ruler of Qi and welcomed him inside. He walked alongside him towards the palace back area where the function was prepared as a celebration and entertainment for the ruler of Qi country, Huizhongi.

Wang Lei sat in the middle as Huizhongi sat next to him. In the little distance on their left was sitting Chen Ju, Ying Xin, and Ai Cong while on his left were his father, Ying Xin's father and Feng Zhi. The middle was the stage set for the dance and music performances while all the other ministers and elite people were sitting on the sides where they could enjoy the event. Huang Dewei stood in a respectful manner next to Wang Lei in his guard clothing clearly indicating what was his duty.

'Thank you very much for having me.' Huizhongi said and Wang Lei looked at him as he spoke up

'It is an honour for me and my nation to be your host.' Wang Lei said in a calm and respectful manner and Huizhongi smiled.

'Shall we discuss the political matters now?' Huizhongi said and Wang Lei looked toward him

'We have organised a function for you so enjoy the function for tonight and we can discuss the political matter tomorrow. You are here for a few days anyway.' Wang Lei said and Huizhongi smiled as he nodded his head in agreement as his gaze flew up towards the man standing next to Wang Lei in his guard position and he was memorised. That was one extremely good looking man. He could not help and stare at him as the first dancer came up on the stage and started the performance. The night was getting chilly as a cold breeze touches Huang Dewei's hair making them fly in the air and he looked even more beautiful under the moonlight. Wang Lei looked away from the dancer toward Huizhongi and then followed his gaze towards Huang Dewei. Wang Lei did not like the way he was looking at him. Wang Lei looked towards standing Huang Dewei as he spoke up

'Sit down Huang Dewei.' Huang Dewei surprised looked at him who was coldly looking at him.

'What?'

'I said sit down.' Wang Lei ordered him in an icy emotionless tone and Huang Dewei puzzled and little hurt over his tone slowly sat down next to him. Wang Lei turned over as he tried to move a little forward hiding him behind him and looked towards Huizhongi

'Are you enjoying the performance?' Wang Lei asked as he plastered the fake smile

'I was enjoying the view but now it's gone.' Huizhongi said cheekily as he laugh and looked at the dancer and Wang Lei bite inside of his mouth to not lost his calm. Deal with Huizhongi was important for Wang Dynasty and he does not want to mess with it. They watched the rest of the performance in silence and the next performance started when servants came and started serving the alcohol to everyone. One save also came to them and was about to pour the alcohol for them when Huizhongi stopped her.

'Leave it...' Huizhongi said and the servant confused looked at him and then towards her emperor Wang Lei who was equally confused

'Is there something wrong? Do you need anything else?' Wang Lei asked and Huizhongi looked at him and smile
