"How was your day?"

I close my door behind me, showing Danny my big smile.

He laughs.

"Perfect."
I answer, putting on my seatbelt.

"I got to meet Teddy today."
Gabby calls from the backseat.

I turn to glare.

Only I can call him Teddy!

Danny raises his eyebrows, starting the car.

"Really?"
He asks curiously.

I roll my eyes.

"Yes."

"How was it? Was he nice?"
He looks into the review mirror.

I roll my eyes again.

"Yeah, he was great actually. He had this whole shy-but-polite demeanor."
She gushes.

He looks back at me.

"I think I already like this dude more that Jacob."

"Hey!"
Gabby defends her boyfriend.

I slouch down in my seat, reaching for my phone.

Me:Help me!😨

I text Teddy.

"Hey Danny, how was work?"
I ask, waiting for him to text back.

Dante's eyes light up.

"Actually, I need to tell you guys something."
He says, drumming his fingers on the wheel.

I narrow my eyes.

It better not be something bad.

Did he get fired?

I mentally neck myself.

He's the boss! Bosses can't get fired.

"I like a girl."

I almost choke, completely surprised.

"Ooh."
Gabby teases from the back.

Danny rolls his eyes, blushing.

"That's great."
I say cautiously, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, but the thing is, she's my assistant."
He says quietly.

"Ooh. Kinky."
I tease, causing Gabby to laugh.

He rolls his eyes again.

"You guys are so childish."

"So, when are we going to get to meet her?"
Gabby asks, leaning between us.

"You? Never."
He teases.

My phone vibrates.

Teddy: What a nice way to greet someone.😐

I can't help but grin bigger, he's so......Teddy.

"Who are you texting?"

I jump, hiding my phone.

"Nobody! Geez."
I exclaim, ignoring my 2 siblings.

"It's probably Jordan."
Gabby comments absentmindedly.

Danny narrows his eyes at me.

"What? Focus on the road, I don't want to die today."
I complain awkwardly.
