That night, instead of Teddy laying on top of me just like he used to, I throw my leg over his stomach, trapping him in place.

"I don't want you getting up and leaving me in the middle of the night."
I tell him, getting comfortable.

He laughs.

"Oh please. I wouldn't even break a sweat lifting you off of me, you are as light as a feather. Plus, even if I did want to leave in the middle of the night I could easily pick you up and take you with me."
He says, reaching over to flip off the light switch.

"Cover off or on?"
He asks, wrapping my up in his arms.

"Off."
I reply.

His arms are all I need to stay warm.

"Hey. I love you."
He whispers, reading my mind.

I bury my fingers in his hair, my face in the crook of his neck.

"Hmm. I love you too, baby."

He inhales deeply, his hands resting on my ass.

"You don't know how happy it makes me to hear those words after so long."
He whispers, pressing his lips against the side of my mouth.

I turn my head a little, giving him full access.

He chuckles a little, kissing my lips.

"Teddy."

"You weren't mad earlier because I was touching you, right?"

I hurry to say, reaching for him again.

He tsks, slapping my hands away.

I scowl.

I demand.

"Tell me why you were upset."
He says calmly, resting his elbows on either side of my head.

"I was just tired."

Then I pause.

"Sorry."

"You have to work on that, Brook."
He says seriously, his gruff voice next to my ear.

I sigh.

"I know. Trust me....I will. I just want to make you happy."
I hesitate to say.

My eyes flutter closed as he suddenly lightly presses his lips against mine again.

"You always did know just want to say to make me feel like this."
He whispers against my lips, his tongue shooting out.

"Hmm. Baby, you're such a tease."
He groans when I slowly pull away, after a while.

I giggle.

"It's 12 o'clock. Take your horny ass to sleep."
I say, closing my eyes.

I jump a little as he slaps both of his hands on my ass.
