I sigh inwardly.
"Wow. You're already rejecting me? Good then. Save me the embarrassment. And the money."
I grumble."Teddy-"
"What do you mean you don't think it's a good idea? You told me you wanted to get married, remember?"
I snap, gently pushing her off of me.She lands next to me, huffing as she bounces.
"Don't ever push me again."
She threatens, sitting up immediately after.I just get out of bed and wander towards the window.
"I can't believe this. You don't want to marry me."
I mutter, rubbing my neck."I didn't say that. I DO want to-"
"So why is it a bad idea then?"
I cut her off again.Silence.
"Sorry, I just....Aw, whatever. Forget it."
I add quietly.I hear the bed move as she gets up.
"Teddy....honey, look at me."
I fold my arms and ignore her as she appears beside me.
She sighs, grabbing my hands.
I reluctant turn.
She just stares at me for a moment.
"We've been through a lot together, huh?"
She asks thoughtfully.I don't say anything, but I silently agree.
We have.
Her eyes search mine.
"I guess I'm just a little scared of how my parents will react."
She admits quietly.I bite my lip.
I thought about that too.
"I mean....You'll just show up after all this time with a ring and I don't know! They'll be suspicious."
She continues.I squeeze her hands.
"They might be, but I'll work on gaining their trust again first, I swear."
I urge, tugging a little.She doesn't say anything.
I lift her hands, slowly resting them against my cheek.
"At the end of the day it doesn't matter. I will always love you, no matter what."
Her eyes soften.
"Got it?"
I ask quietly, leaning in a little. She nods slowly, smiling unsurly.
I tap her chin, wiggling my eyebrows.
"Then can you give me a hickey?"
Her eyes pop open.
"What?"
I shrug.
"I said can you give me a-"
"No. You just ruined the moment too, asshole."
She says firmly, moving her hands and folding her arms.I scowl a little.
"Why not? You let me give you a hickey that other time."
I remind her.She shakes her head, her cheeks heating up again.
"No way. I'm not letting you talk me into doing anything else inappropriate, not after last time."
I roll my eyes, walking back towards the bed.
