Brooklyn

I fold my arms, still glaring even as he stops the car.

"What?"
He asks as if he's just now noticing.

I huff, looking around.

"You should be happy. You are the one who told me to come get you. Forced me to kidnap you."
He mutters, reaching to take off Rex's leash.

I lean back in my seat, looking out of the window.

The fuck?

Where are we?

"The dog park. And cursing isn't very ladylike."

My eyes snap back over to him.

Oh shit.🙈

I said that out loud?

"Come on. Bring the food."
He tells me, getting out of the car with Rex.

I sigh, getting out.

He stares the whole time, looking at me weirdly.

I frown, closing the door behind me.

"What? Is there something on my face?"
I ask, starting to panic.

He just looks away, shaking his head.

Oh.

I guess not.

"I come here every other day."
He speaks quietly as I fall in step beside him.

I bite my lip, knowing that this place must mean something to him.

He opens the closed off gate, holding it open for me.

I smile, passing by him.

What a gentleman.😆

"Wow. This is nice."
I say, admiring my surroundings.

Dogs.

Everywhere.

Just roaming around freely.

"Rex really likes this park. It was the first place I took her as soon as I got her. I think she likes the freedom to just roam around."
He continues, setting the dog down.

I smile even bigger as Rex dashes away almost immediately, her little tail wagging happily.

I want a puppy.😭

Teddy closes the gate behind him.

"What if a dog bites someone?"
I ask curiously as he leads me to a nearby bench.

"Oh, only trained dogs are allowed. And if something does happen, they have an animal control center right around the corner."
He answers, reaching for the bag.

"Aww, I'm jealous. I want a dog to bring here now."
I grumble.

He smiles.

"Here, I got you this."
He says, blushing a little.

My mouth falls open as he hands me a shake along with the rest of my food.

Awww. That was so thoughtful.

"Aww, Teddy! Thanks, you're the best."
I gush.

He just blushes harder.

"Yeah, you're welcome."
He mumbles, unwrapping his burger.

"Can you tell me a story?"
I ask quietly after a few minutes of comfortable silence.

My favorite kind of silence.😃
