Jordan

I hate the thought of her not liking me and I'm not going to lie, last night when I told her that it's okay if she doesn't, it hurt my heart how she just dismissed me with a good night.

Life doesn't always work in your favor, I guess.

I'll just be a dusty, old, lonely cobweb for the rest of my life.
That's a bit overdramatic, but oh well. I'm in a overdramatic mood.😭

I know she'll feel some type of way when she wakes up and I'm not next to her, but oh well.

I woke up a little too early and I was feeling a little restless so I decided to take a walk.

Which is stupid of me, I don't know my way around.

Good thing there's a trail.

It's been some time, I can tell because the sun rose a few minutes ago.

I wonder if anyone even notices me gone.

Probably not.😦

I continue to walk, not really wanting to go back just yet.

Yet, I find myself turning back after a few minutes.

I'm hungry.😪

The snow is so high, I have to lift my knees just to take each step.

The snow storm that happened left so much snow behind. More than I have ever seen in my life.

My mind wander to how soft Brook's lips felt on mine.

My heart beat speed up at the thought of it.

Then drops when I realize  that that was probably the last time I would get a kiss from her.

I stuff my hands into my coat pocket as the house comes into view.

"There he is."

I frown, noticing how everyone is outside, looking around.

Jacob is the one who noticed me first.

Brooklyn turns around immediately, her face filling with relief as soon as her eyes collide with mine.

Then she starts running.

I almost turn around and run too.

Why the hell is she runnin-

I let out a groan as she crashes into me, her arms wrapping me in death grip.

"Brooklyn!"
I exclaim alarmed upon seeing tears in her eyes.

"Why did you go? Why did you leave?"
She demands, tears streaming down her face.

It takes my mind a full minute to get what the hell is going on.

"Baby girl, you thought I wasn't coming back?"
I ask softly, my heart warming up.

"Teddy."
She sobs, her whole body shaking.

I collect her into my arms,  a little confused.

"I woke up and nobody knew where you were. I thought you got lost.....that I lost you."

I can't help but to smile, holding her close.

Aww.

She was worried about me.

"Hey, I'm fine. I just went for a walk."
I say, leaning back to stare into her eyes.

She sniffles, leaning into me.

"I'm fine."
I repeat, looking up.

Everybody is staring.

I smile sheepishly.
