He clears his throat, his beautiful eyes holding mine captive.

"I knew from the moment I met you that we'd be here. Me staring up at you, wondering if...."
His voice bounces around in my head.

I take a staggering step backwards.

"Teddy...."
I whisper, my eyes tearing up.

"I wanted this moment to be just for us."
He says kindly, gently taking my hand.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Brooklyn. And those 4 years apart were proof that I couldn't do it. I can't live the right life if you aren't by my side, everything felt wrong."
He explains quietly.

"Your crying is messing up my train of thought."
He whisper shouts.

"I can't believe you."
I let out a rushed laugh.

"Yes."

"I didn't even ask yet!"
He groans, patting down his pockets.

I gasp as he pulls out a little box and flicks it open.

The ring is beautiful.

"Is that diamond?"
I whisper.

I thought we agreed on-

"Yes. Only the best for my love."
He winks.

Then he takes a deep breath.

"I practiced this in the mirror all morning."
He mutters, his cheeks heating up.

"Will you do me the life changing honor of becoming my wife?"
He asks seriously.

I just smile.

Smile and cry.

I will never forget this moment.

I couldn't even if I tried.

"Of course, Teddy."

"It was actually your brother's idea. He proposed to his wife here."
He is saying as we make our way back after lunch.

I raise an eyebrow.

I didn't know that.

He glances at me nervously.

"I thought that maybe if I proposed to you there then it would be like good luck to our future family since it meant so much to your family when you were kids."
He explains.

I'm still stuck on earlier.

"That was absolutely perfect."
I whisper, gripping his hand.

I can't stop looking at the ring.

It's so pretty and sparkly.

He wouldn't tell me how much it costs, I know it was pretty expensive.

Everyone's eyes seem to zero right in on the ring as soon as we walk in.

I roll my eyes as mom and Julia comes rushing up for a better view.

Jordan wordlessly kisses my cheek, winking before slipping away.

What a jerk.

My jerk.
