Jordan
A book.
After almost 30 minutes of silence, the girl takes out a book and starts reading.
It offends me.
"Baby girl."
I whisper into her ear, tapping her exposed thigh lightly.Spandex!
She loves them.
I do too, but I cant help but feel a little jealous when she wears them outside of the house.Where everyone else can see her gorgeous legs.
I'll get over it, I'm sure.
One day.
Silence.
I sigh.
"Brook, are you mad at me?"
I ask sadly.I hate it when she ignores me.
"Shut up, I'm trying to read."
She mutters, shifting in my lap."Dont tell me to shut up."
I growl lowly, gripping her waist. She sighs.
"Okay, I'm sorry. Please be quiet. I'm trying to read, honey."
She corrects herself softly.Thats better.
I stroke her hair slowly.
"I want to....I mean, can I read to you?"
I ask hesitantly. Her head turns slowly.
I hold my breath as her eyes connect with mine.
Tenderly soft.
I love those amazing eyes.
"I really want to, if you don't mind."
I whisper, a little lightheaded under (over?) her intensely calming stare."Okay. Yeah."
She says quietly, looking away suddenly.I try not to feel too disappointed.
I love staring into her eyes.
She clears her throat, showing me the cover to her book.
I inwardly roll my eyes.
A romance novel.
Who's surprised?
Not me, that's who.
From the moment I met her, I knew she was a hopeless romantic.
My baby girl.😆
"Hm. She's gorgeous."
I mutter, pointing to the girl on the front.Brook doesn't say anything.
I smirk, gently covering her hands on the book with mine.
