THE GREEN SCALES formed around her arms like armor, her eyes deepening into that leafy green color that told me she was using her dilect. She breathed heavily when this happened, seemingly having found new strength, knocking off all the arrows that Koran sent her way. She easily dodged one particular arrow and slammed him with her fist to which he stumbled back for a second, a dazed look overtaking his features, although somehow managing to maintain balance.

But that one look away gave enough opening for Reptic as Ari deemed to name herself. She took a large jump grabbing hold of a low hanging branch, kicking him straight into his chest to which this time he actually did fall and quite ungracefully might I add, a series of 'oh's" being echoed by his fellow Silvers while the Greens cheered Reptic on.

Daya seemed to be on the green side I suppose as she clapped gleefully, with the same flawless grace she was naturally born with, and although Lucas who was seated beside her seemed quite calm, I could still see a smile on his face.

However, I couldn't tell if it was because Ari was winning or because he was looking at Daya. The thought spun in my head for a moment before I brushed it out deciding that this was not the time or the place to wrestle with the never-ending questions that constantly swirled in my mind.

My eyes settled back on the match, watching Koran breathe in deeply, moving back as Reptic approached him, his hand reaching for another arrow feeling around the pouch.

We could all see he was down to his last arrow at this moment, and by the look of his hand that had frozen on his last arrow, it was quite evident he too knew he was down to his last one.

"Does Koran not have an ability other than arrow aiming?" Claire whispered lowly as I watched the scene below, ultimately surprised when Koran let go of his last arrow instead of using it, leaving it in the pouch.

Moving quickly, he then rolled over sideways just as Reptic was about to punch, her claws digging into the earth and sprouting the moss with an angry growl, looking sideways at him with the most animalistic expression I had ever seen. I thought she was scary in the hallways but it was only now I realized how wrong I had been, watching in awe when she did the strangest thing.

A long crocodile tail appeared in a blink of an eye swooping sideways, Koran throwing himself up in the air as if by instinct, in a no-hands push-up kind of way like they did in the old karate movies I used to watch, barely brushing over the lightning-fast tail, swirling in the air until he was back on the ground rolling until he came to a stop.

"He came in towards the end of last year, this should be his first match, I haven't seen his power yet," Lira grumbled in reply to Claire's question, still focused on the sight with the uttermost interest.

Ari got on all four, this time resembling a lot like a crocodile, her scales gleaming over her body as they appeared and disappeared at a rapid rate, eyes low as her eyes set on her target. Her growls became more and more audible through the speakers, then crawled with lightning speed toward her opponent who used his last arrow to fire at her, which bounced off her vanishing scaly armor like before, right on her back and launched into a nearby tree.

"What a waste," Lira huffed beside me probably about the last arrow. I had to admit, that the last move had not been well thought out. I assumed this match was about to be over when Ari pounced on him with her inhuman speed, her mutated body was a sight to see from this angle, only now being able to notice that her tail had some spikes on it, as she flung her claws on him.
