"DO NOT BE fooled Younglings, the Vizire still live among us as do the Strigoi, the Bitten, and the Oldbloods." Mr. Ogustus continued.

"The Vizire have evolved as we have, they now take shapes that we will be less susceptible to. Whether be it in the form of creatures such as cats, dogs, rats, snakes, and much more, whilst others may venture to mimic the forms of our nature, looking and sounding as much as a human would. We are very lucky for one thing. The Vizire are a dying breed, though some are centuries old as with any class of Vampire, most have been...disposed of. Either by Heroes, ordinary people, or converts."

A hand rose from the middle of the class and I must say I was not typically surprised to see that it was Naaka's.

Mr. Ogustus raised an eyebrow her way, a clear indication that she had been permitted to speak. Her hand came down as she talked, her tone soaked in curiosity.

"Ordinary humans can kill Vizire?"

Mr. Ogustus nodded, taking hold of his crutch, he moved towards the board jotting something down.

HUNTERS.

"It is what they call themselves. They are a generation of evolved humans who were born with an open third eye. Hunters are human in every way if it wasn't for their third eye. Being born with such a gift puts a target on your back. The moment you open a door to a place where things are trapped," he explained, "everything wants to get out, and so they head to the door-" he paused, "Hunters realized the only way to stay alive was to hunt and kill as much Vizire and other dark creatures that live in the Shadows as best as they could. Since the Vizire and the mere fact that Vampires themselves, despite the Classes are a dying breed, I would like to think that they were on the right track." He finished.

"But if the hunters are ordinary-h-how are they defeating all these monsters?" Naaka asked.

Mr. Ogustus took a deep breath out, placing both hands on the cane, "I shall tell of the origins of the Hunter Tribes. In the times of gods and men, when the age of sin was at hand, and the blood of many a mortal was spelled against the earth by dark creatures such as demons, Fallen, Ancients, Wendigos vampires, werewolves on full moons, Vampires on the Blood moon, Vizire and other Deceptions, the mortals cried out to a Prime god. A group of five families came together.

These five families found favor by the gods and were bestowed the gift of open sight. They were the first hunters and were humanity's hope when it comes to lesser creatures of the dark. Sometimes they were aided by heroes, at times the gods themselves paid heed to their woes. But as I said, as the door opens, everything is attracted to that Hunter.

Though hunters are human in every way they have one other special ability, the gift of accelerated healing. They train themselves in martial arts and old spells and study the ways they can kill dark creatures from the Shadow Realm. There are different methods according to the kind of creature, however, the most common weakness to shadow beings or any other creature is Fire. It is the most efficient way to kill a Shadow creature.

Though I must stress that Fire does not consume all things, for example, whilst burning a Bitten, Stragoi or Vizire may be effective, Oldblood vampires are nearly indestructible and of course, if you burn a demon, its physical body may be tarnished, but it may reform in another time and space unless it is banished. In that case, it would be quite handy to ensure you have spell caster red in your midst," he chuckled.

Mr. Ogustus's eyes traveled over each one of our faces before giving us a satisfied look, "and that is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Deceptions, Class Vampire. Once again, I wish to remind you that though my teaching is impeccable, I do discuss only the bare tips of the iceberg. If you do wish to learn more, every topic I have covered within the confines of my classroom walls has been written and stored in the Archives of Greater Knowledge.'

A smile formed on my face at the sound of this. Mr. Ogustus had such a posh way of speaking, he could have easily said if you wish to learn more, go check out the library. Anyway, I wondered how helpful it would be when the whole thing was built like a maze. I do believe there was a high chance of people getting lost in there if they weren't already. I could almost see a poor kid lost in those dark rows crying for their mommy.

It wasn't very user-friendly, but in all honestly, it was a complete fantasy turned reality for book lovers like myself.

Yeah, I was going back there to relax sooner or later, maybe even take a book up to the roof, sit on the benches, and watch the rest of Kingsland in my elevated position.

Sounded like a date to me.

"We shall briefly discuss the last two classes of Deceptions, speaking on the system that was used to guide and protect the inhabitants of our little world. Let us begin with that of the marine world, the water spirits, be it nymphs or mermaids. These are simple creatures. In the beginning, they were meant to keep those that dwell in and live by any water sources, be it fishermen, sailors, small tribes against the river beds, or the fish of the sea. When the Darkness emerged, the sea creature became vile.

There are many reasons why this could have been the case- the greediness of humans, the pollution of any waterfronts, the maiming, killing, and hunting of these supernatural creatures." His sad eyes traveled around the class, a notable depreciation in his voice, "it could have been fear, that drove pure creatures such as that of the sea and woodlands to be corrupted by darkness to this extent. From the top of your head's younglings, can anyone mention a dark creature of the sea, from any mythology?"
