~YESTERDAY

THE COMBAT room was quiet as Harvest paced before the group of leviathans before him, pausing, his eyes trailing down the group of Elite before him.

His lips straightened to a thin line.

"The role of the Elite is to secure, protect, and defend," he grunted out, accent heavy on each word, "THERE WAS ONE DUMMY artifact I sent Raskei to hide in those woods," he grunted out, "It was found in good time," he grunted with a slight nod.

"Yet it was so easy to let that tiny little thing slip away from your fingers," he stated, eyes trailing around each one, setting on one Silver in particular, whose face was half covered in dirt.

The girl's eyes rose slightly not yet quite able to meet her Alpha's eyes.

"Kim," Harvest stated, "care to tell us how is it you got-" Harvest paused eyeing the mud print on the side of her cheek, "that on your face?"

"My wings got wet and heavy, I couldn't fly," she gritted between her teeth and Raskei scoffed behind her, rolling her eyes, as she stared at the back of the silver whose combat suit was quite different from the others as it had two slender slits at the back of it, which helped whenever the Silver needed to call on her dilect.

The so-called Elite-only had to defend the token from just her, but  Raskei played with each one of their weaknesses quite well.

Nature was so fun to be around, so many things to bend and curse to her will.

Harvest's eyes snapped up to her, his lips pursing not at all amused.

Her eyebrows arched at this action for a second reading his face, noting there was something on his mind.

Something other than what was going on here that made him angry.

It was an emotion so clear to see. Because Harvest was not like other people. He had degrees of anger. It went from quipping at little things, the more serious it got the less it showed on his face, and that was when it got dangerous.

Her throat ran dry at this thought momentarily watching as he finished barking down his disappointment at the Elite.

After setting up new guidelines with them, he released them their back arched, heads low in embarrassment as they filed out of the door like scolded children past her, the last Silver, walking out the double doors.

Raskei took this opportunity to slip out when her name was called point black, making her freeze in her footsteps.

"Not you Raskei."

She sighed, softly turning around, only to be met with him not a foot away, her heart skipping a beat slightly as the chamber around them formed.

"I hate it when you do that," she grunted, her jaw ticking.

Harvest didn't say a word, eyes studying her face for a moment. This only made her feel more uncomfortable, staring directly into those eyes she knew had stolen many souls and not in the way his fan girls on Kingsland would ever think.

She stared back at him point black, allowing him to read her very soul-

"I don't know if you can tell," he began, his tone very quiet, "but I'm not particularly sane at the moment," he stated, his blue eyes shifting to dark for a second revealing his true nature, to which her shallow breath gave out the fact that she had noticed.
