"Well, I'll leave you to settle in, Luna."
"If you need help, just mind link me, and I'll be there", he said in a kind way.
"Thank you", I replied, and he closed the door.
I collapsed on the bed in exhaustion.
It was afternoon, and I was a little bit hungry.
I didn't even know where the kitchen was, and going downstairs would be a trip on its own.

Nara was calling, so I picked up my phone and I nearly went deaf.
"PAIGGEEEE!"
"YOU LEFT?"
"WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE?"
"OH, YOU BETRAYER!"
Nara yelled, and I could tell she was crying.
"Calm down Nara."
"It's not like that."
"I'm sorry."
"The alpha suddenly came to my house, so I had to leave!" I said, but she didn't seem to believe me.
"I'm coming there, right now!"
"How dare he steal you away from me?" She yelled, and the line went dead.
"That girl", I said, and went downstairs.

There were maids walking around on the second floor, and I wondered why they were so busy.
I bumped into a petite maid, who seemed frightened, as though she had seen a ghost.
"My, my apologies..llluunaa", she said in a timid voice.
"Chill out, it's okay", I said, but she didn't seem to calm down.
"Yourr lluunnchh is ready", she stammered, and walked away.
"What was that all about?" I thought to myself.
I found the dining room, and there was a lot of food on the table.
"Is anyone coming?" I asked a maid who was standing by the door.
"No ma'am, this is for you only."
"We will leave you alone now", she said, and suddenly, I was alone.

"Wow", I said to myself, and dug in.
The food was good, and I couldn't stop eating.
"Luna, you have a guest."
"She says she is your friend, shall we let her in?" An older maid came to the door to say.
"Yes, please", I said, and she disappeared into the hallway.
"Hello, Luna", Nara said as she walked into the dining room.
"My God, look at all these food!" She said, and I told her to sit beside me.
"Are you trying to win me over with food?"
"No way!"
"How could you betray me for a man?"
"I'm hurt!"
"I thought we said sisters before misters?" She spoke, and I looked around to make sure no one heard her.

"Come on, don't say that here."
"This is the Alpha's house!" I warned.
"And, I didn't have a chance to say goodbye."
"Sorry", I said truthfully.
"Interesting."
"So, you're the lady of the house now?" She said.
"I guess", I replied.
"Everyone's so weird."
"I think they're like, afraid of me."
I said, remembering how that maid was scared.
"Well, the Alpha is a scary man, so, they probably think that you're like him", Nara replied.
"Just try to win their trust", she advised.
"Now, spill the beans!"
"What's the Alpha like?"
She asked in anticipation.

"I'm not sure."
"He seems, nice, I guess", I replied.
"Hmm."
"Is that all?"
"Nothing special?" She asked in disappointment.
"What are you thinking?" I asked, and narrowed my eyes at her.
"Oh, nothing, my lady", she teased.
"I see you've brought company, Luna", Adrian said from the door, startling the both of us.
He stared at me with a soft gaze, but I looked away.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you", Nara said.
"Likewise."
"I have been summoned by the Alpha, so I will be returning with him in the evening."
"You may come down anytime for dinner."
"The maids stay on the second floor", he said.

"Okay. Thanks", I said, and he left.
"He's so hot!" Nara squealed.
"Shut up!" I begged.
"He's even hotter than the alpha himself", she added.
"Oh, come on!"
"What do you know about the Alpha?" I asked, and she was quiet.
"I know he's a jerk for not being around to welcome you", she said.
"He's just busy", I defended.
"Sure", she said, and continued eating.
We spoke for hours, and she kept on telling me new facts about being a Luna that I didn't know of.

"You do know what the mating ceremony is, right?" She asked.
"Isn't that when the Alpha introduces the Luna to the pack?" I asked.
"Yeah, but do you know what happens on the night of the mating ceremony?" She asked, once again.
"Uhh, no?" I said truthfully.
I didn't bother to know about it, since I didn't think I would be a Luna, and I cursed myself for skipping it when I was studying.
"Paige, do you know how a wolf cub is formed?" Nara asked.
"What kinda question is that, Nara?"
"Doesn't the moon king give the parents the baby?" I said.
"Oh dear", she said, and took a sip of her water.
