"Janelle was right."
"You are no gentleman at all!"
"She thought that because you were able to bear the pain of your mate being with another man, you would be gentle when you were with Paige."
"But no."
"You touched Paige's without her permission, and then you caused her to hit her head!"
"And not only that, you forced yourself on her and marked her!" The woman yelled.
Adrian then felt ashamed and didn't raise his head up.
"I lost control of myself."
"I regret doing it."
"I'm sorry, Paige."
Adrian said in a truthful voice, but the woman scoffed.

"You male wolves are nothing but misogynistic, narcissistic, lustful, and stuck up bastards!"
"Humans were right."
"Men do hate women."
"You two disrespected the one woman that was put under your care, and now, you're sorry all of a sudden?"
"Then again, this is normal in the werewolf world."
"You don't consider your females to be worthy of anything."
"And you only see them as baby machines, right?"
"That will not happen on my watch."
"I came here to put you dickheads in your place."

"And, the next time I hear of a female werewolf get mistreated in all of the lycan region, you all will face the wrath of the moon king himself!" She said, and I immediately came to the conclusion that she was indeed related to the heavens, or even the moon king himself.
She then turned to me, and she smiled.
"Paige", she said, and hugged me.
I felt relief, and also safe from her touch.
And a part of me was amazed at how she put the Alpha and the Beta in their place.
I was also thankful that she stood by my side and defended me. I would be forever indebted to her.
"Thank you, for defending me", I said.

"Delighted to help."
"Now, I know you must be wondering why all of this is happening."
"I wish I could tell you everything, but I cannot."
"The only thing I will say, is that you have the power to change your destiny, and even the destinies of those odd looking dudes over there", she said, gesturing to Adrian and Zayne, who were still kneeling.
Their heads were down, so I didn't see their reaction.
"You are going to be in danger very soon, and as much as it pains me to say, you must protect them."
"But most especially, the child in your womb, you must protect it at all costs", she said, making me confused.

"What?"
"Am I...?" I asked, and she nodded slowly.
"Your friends will tell you more", she said, and smiled.
She touched Adrian's mark on my neck, and I stopped feeling pain.
When I looked at her, she winked at me, and I smiled in gratitude.
"Sandra", she called my mom.
"Yes, my lady."
"He's coming."
"And he's much worse than before."
"Keep them safe, away from him", she said to my mother who nodded immediately, as though she understood what she meant.
"Is that the little baby Xavier?" She asked Kendra, who nodded.
"So cute!"
"I was there when he was getting made, he's so cute now that he's out", she said.
"You watched when he was getting made?" Kendra asked in confusion.

"Oops, I've said too much", she said, and turned to Nara.
"You'll find your mate after the eclipse, but it will not be in the regular way."
"And I know, you're one to like extraordinary things?" She winked at Nara.
"You know me too well", Nara replied with a smile.
The lady then turned to the men, and snapped her fingers.
Then, everyone started moving again, and Zayne and Adrian held their faces.
"Mess up again, and it won't end in just a slap", she warned them.
"I must leave now."
"My punishment might worsen if I stay here any longer", she said.
"Goodbye Paige, I'll see you soon, she said, and disappeared into thin air.

"Well that was weird", Nara said.
Simon and Ron helped Zayne up and when he looked at me, I looked away from him.
Soon, Zayne's men left the room with Adrian, and I watched Adrian leave.
I felt a sting of anger towards him, but I knew he was sorry.
I just didn't want to see his face, or I would be reminded of what happened.
"Let's leave this place", I said to my friends and mother.
"Sure, let's go", my mother said.
"Paige", Zayne said, and came close to me.
He held my hand as I was about to leave, and I turned to look at him.

His left cheek was red, and he was blinking away his tears.
"I'm sorry, for everything", he said.
"I need time, Zayne", I said in a sad voice.
"Paige, let's go", Kendra said from the door.
They were all waiting for me with worried expressions.
"Okay."
"I understand."

"I'll give you the space you need",
Zayne said, and I finally walked away from him, even though I wanted to run to him and hug him.
"Are you okay?" My mother asked me as we entered the house.
"Yeah, I just don't want to stay here anymore, mom."
"I wanna come home", I said.
"Home is waiting for you my dear", she said.
"Shit, I'm starving."
"All that drama was so awesome!" Nara exclaimed.
"I know right?"
"Who would have thought that the Alpha would ever be put in his place?"
"That woman was so cool", Kendra said.
I agreed as well, but I paused when I remembered what she said before she left.
"You all have some explaining to do", I said as they entered the kitchen and started to cook for themselves.
They stopped what they were doing and then faced me with guilty expressions.
