Janelle fought the urge to roll her eyes when she saw Adrian sleeping under a tree in the woods, near the borders of the River Moon pack, and she had no doubt that he could barely communicate with the pack through mind link.
She knelt down beside him, and thought of a good way to alert the sleeping man.
Adrian was deep in sleep, when he felt a stinging pain on his face, and his eyes opened immediately.
Janelle had slapped him, but he still wasn't aware of her presence.
"What, what's happening?" He said in surprise, as if he was being attacked.
When he saw that he wasn't in danger, he squinted his eyes and yawned.

"Are you awake now, damsel in distress?" Janelle said in sarcasm, and he turned his head.
"Whoa!" He said in surprise, and he immediately recognised her.
"You're the woman from back then!"
"Wow, you really have a striking resemblance with your sister", he said.
"Good to see you too, Adrian."
"Now, what the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Sleeping when your whole pack is at war with the Blood Lupis pack?" Janelle screamed.
"War?"
"What are you talking about?"
"They're having a party, and Zayne dismissed me, so I wandered into the woods."
"I didn't realise how much I'd wandered, I can barely feel the connection to the pack", he said.

"That's cos you're so far away!"
"And Paige and Zayne need you, now!"
"You need to go!"
"Zayne is about to kill Paige's mother and father!" Janelle yelled.
"Paige's father?" He asked.
"Yes, he's the Alpha of the Blood Lupis pack", Janelle said.
"So, stand up, and go!" She added.
"I can't", he said.
"What?"
"Why?" She asked in frustration.
"I can't shift."
"I'm gonna be useless if I go there", he said in a sad voice.

"No, you can shift!"
"Have you even tried to reach out to Ralph yet?" Janelle asked, and he shook his head.
"I haven't been able to feel him for some time, so I didn't bother to", he said.
"Well, try again", she said.
"Okay."
"Hey, bud, you there?" Adrian asked.
"It's about time you noticed me!"
"Man, I've missed you so much!" Ralph said.
"You're back!" Adrian said.
"I can feel him!" He said to Janelle.

"Good, now go!"
"And be quick!"
Janelle yelled, and he stood up.
"Thank you so much Miss Janelle, I'll never forget it", he said.
"Sure."
"Wait!" She said, holding his shirt.
"What is it?" He asked.
"You would never hurt Zayne, right?" She asked, waiting for his reply.
"No, I would never!"
"I hate him, but I wouldn't hurt him."
"He's my best friend and like a brother to me", Adrian said.
"Good, I trust you."
"Now, go", she said, and he nodded before he shifted in Ralph and immediately headed for the pack house.

"Don't let her leave the house!" Kendra warned, and maids tried to get a hold of Paige who was now crying.
"Let me go!"
"I have to see him!" She said.
"No, Paige, please!" Sandra begged her daughter.
She was now covered in cuts, and she didn't look like she was going to make it.
"Mom, please", Paige said in a whisper, and Sandra smiled at her.
Then, Sandra screamed loudly, and it was much worse than the other screams, and then, Paige lost it.
She pushed the maids aside and ran out of the house, not knowing where to go, since her mind was hazy.
When she heard her name from behind, she knew she had to run and she could see multiple wolves on the training grounds fighting.

Some were dead, some were injured, and some were in their human form.
She couldn't see Zayne or Julian anywhere because of how many wolves were on the field, and as she tried to walk, her legs grew weak and she fell to the ground.
"Not now, baby."
"Please, for daddy's sake", she said to her belly.
"Moon king, please help me!" She thought to herself.
"Luna!"
A voice called out and was by Paige's side, helping her to her feet.
"You're the Luna of the Blood Lupis pack, right?" Paige asked as she looked at Fallon.
"Yes, I am", she replied.
"Why are you helping me, when our packs are fighting against each other?" Paige asked.

"I never wanted to be their Luna."
"Julian forcefully mated with me when I was fifteen, so I never got to meet my own mate, and I've been a barren and nameless Luna ever since then."
"I don't support anything he does, so, that's why I'm helping you."
"Let's hurry, your pack is losing because Julian got help from the witches!" Fallon said, and helped Paige walk.
A wolf was on its way to hurt Paige, but Fallon shifted and attacked the wolf, causing Paige to freeze at the spot.
She didn't know if it was a good idea to shift while pregnant and risk getting attacked, so she stayed in her human form and tried to find Zayne.
There were many black wolves on the field, so finding Zayne was really difficult.

Meanwhile, Zayne and Julian were still going at it.
One bite after the other, one kick after the other, one scratch after the other.
Julian knew that he wasn't as strong as Zayne, and he was losing the fight, but he still wanted to fight.
Zayne however, was just getting started.
He allowed Julian to attack him, and he didn't fight back.
When Julian was getting tired, Zayne pounced on him, and attacked him almost immediately.
Now, with half of his pack injured, his men dead, including his Beta, he was getting a bit afraid, and scared that he would lose.
But, he smiled devilishly when he saw Paige coming towards the field.
