I woke up with a migraine, and Nara was beside me on her phone.
"Nara", I said with a coarse voice.
"Paige!"
"You're finally awake!"
"I'll get the doctor", she said.
I was in Zayne's room, and all of my things were now here.
I then remembered what happened before I passed out.
I was walking towards Zayne, but one of the rogues attacked me from the back, and threw me against a large tree and I hit my head.

"Rose, you there?" I asked.
"My heart hurts so bad."
"I'll kill that bastard!" She said.
"Wait, what happened?" I asked Nara before she was about to leave.
"Oh it was deadly!"
"As soon as you were unconscious, Zayne let out a deadly growl and killed all three of those rogues in a second."
"And when you shifted back, you were naked and he covered you with his fur."
"When he saw the delta and omega looking at you in lust, he growled at them and they looked away immediately."
"I think he mind linked them to go to the pack house, and they took me with them."

"They shifted back when we got to the house, and then, the maids gave them clothes to take to you and the alpha in the woods."
"I shifted back and threw a blanket on, and waited for you."
"Your mother came down, and she was so worried."
"A few minutes later, Zayne came out wearing only shorts, with you wearing his shirt."
"He carried you in bridal style and it was such a lovely sight", she said, and I blushed.
"He did scold me though, and he sounded really upset."
"I thought he would tear me apart, but he just told me to not leave your sight after the doctor came."
"How long was I unconscious?" I asked.
"Three days, the alpha has been crazy ever since then."
"He hasn't come to the room, and he also punished the beta for not watching us", she said, leaving me in surprise.

"He, he punished the beta?" I asked and she nodded.
"Apparently, Zayne had instructed Adrian to watch us when we left, but Adrian was nowhere to be found during the attack."
"What did he do to him?"
I asked, my hands shaking.
"It was a terrible sight, Paige?"
"He wanted to kill him."
"He threw him against the wall on the second floor, and it cracked."
"Then, he had Adrian chained and put on the training ground."
"He said, unless you woke up, Adrian would stay there, without food or water, and no one was to speak to him, or else they would die", Nara explained.

"So, he's there now?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Nara, please let the alpha know I'm awake."
"I have to help Adrian!"
I begged, and she immediately left the room.
In seconds, the room opened, and Zayne came in, with my mother and a doctor.
"Paige!"
"Are, are you okay?"
"You had me worried!"
"You weren't waking up, and I thought I'd lost you", Zayne said with a pained expression.
"I'm sorry for keeping you worried", I said and touched his cheek.
"I'll check her vital signs now", the woman said, and examined me.

"How are you feeling, Paige?" My mother asked with care.
"Better mom, sorry for worrying you", I said, and she patted my hair.
"She's better now."
"She just needs rest", the woman said.
"Thank you, Gloria, you may leave now."
"The delta will attend to the bills", Zayne said.
"I'll leave you two alone", my mother announced, exiting the room with the lady.
"Why did you go out in the woods?"
"And why did you shut me out?"
"Do you know how scared I was?"
"How could you do that?" Zayne asked in worry.
"I'm, I'm sorry."
"I wanted to spend time with my friend, and I didn't want to bother you with our girlish talk", I said, and avoided his gaze.

"Don't do it again."
"Next time, if you need privacy, tell me, and I would keep myself out of your head."
"Okay?" He asked, and I nodded.
He then held my hand and kissed it, and I smiled.
"I heard that you punished the beta", I said slowly.
"Yes."
"He disobeyed my orders, and look what happened to you."
"I should have removed him from his position, but because he's my friend, I only punished him."
"If something worse had happened, it wouldn't have ended in just a punishment", Zayne said in seriousness.
"I'm fine now, Zayne."
"So, please let him go."
"I don't want to be the Luna that gets other people punished just because of her", I said in an embarrassed way.

"But you're my Luna."
"And, if anyone plays with your safety, they'll suffer for it."
"I'll let him go now, but if it happens again, you won't be able to stop me", he said.
"Thank you", I replied, and hugged him.
"I'll be back", he said, leaving me alone in the large room.
Nara came in, and I was happy to have company once again.
"Do you wanna see him?" She asked.
"Who?"
"Adrian?"
"I don't know", I said.
"Can I?" I added, and Nara smiled mischievously
"Come", she said, pulling me out of bed.
My side hurt, but I was able to steady my feet.

I was wearing a white cotton gown, and I had nothing under.
"Who dressed me?" I asked.
"Your mom, who else?"
"Or, did you think it was the alpha?"
"Silly Luna", she said, and I blushed.
We tiptoed downstairs, and from a window on the second floor, we could see Zayne and Adrian on the training ground.
The sun was setting, so I couldn't see their faces well, but because of my werewolf sight, I looked well and saw them clearly.
Zayne looked like he was speaking to Adrian, and Adrian looked dead.
He had a stubble, and his hair was filled with dirt.
There were chains around him, and his forehead was bleeding.
He was also wearing the same clothes he had on the day of the attack, and I felt sorry for him.

It was all because of me.
Why did he have to go through all this?

Zayne broke the chains from Adrian's body, and I was amazed by his strength. The chains looked heavy, but he was able to break it.
Adrian slowly stood up and bowed slowly to Zayne, who dismissed him.
Adrian didn't come back to the pack house, he went in the opposite direction, and I wondered if he was feeling okay.
"Stop thinking about him or the alpha will read your mind!" Nara said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"You're right."
"I'm thirsty, let's go to the kitchen", I said.
We were about to leave the window when I saw Zayne looking at me from the hallway.
I gulped hard, and Nara bowed, before she abandoned me with him.
