"Did you guys threaten him? Is that why he agreed to the wedding?" I asked her because that seems to be the only sane reason why Jason agreed to this wedding.

A look of shock crossed Kristina's face for a brief second and then she smiled wide. "No dear. He agreed on his own." She chuckled at me ruffling my hair.

"Okay then," I told her sitting straight and holding my covers in my fist.

I can do this.

She looked confused for a second. "I'm agreeing to this wedding but don't blame me if you find your son dead in my hands." I threatened Kristina to lighten the mood.

"Oh, Amy" she let out a happy cry and pulled me for a hug. I hugged her back. Her tears wet my t-shirt, I pulled away from the hug and saw tears pouring out of her eyes.

"Oh, God! Stop crying." I chuckled looking at her red and puffy face.

She immediately wiped her cheeks and smiled through teary eyes,

"You don't know how happy you made me feel. I was so scared that you would say no. No offense, I like your Aunt but she was going nonstop since afternoon about some relative of theirs who is a suitable match for you if you..you know...you disagreed to marry Jason owing to all your rapport with him."

"No, I would never marry some stranger in 2weeks. Marrying a known jerk is better than some unknown idiot." I deadpanned.

Soon the room is filled with cackles of laughter. Kristina stood up at once, her face beaming with joy, "I need to go and tell this to everyone." She walked a few steps and then turned back to me smiling.

"I'm sure you won't regret this. I have raised my boy right. And I'm lucky to have you as my daughter, officially now." Her eyes shimmered again with tears.

"Aww stop crying." I threw my hands around her neck as I tried to hide my tears away in her hair inhaling her familiar vanilla scent.

"I will go and share this news with everyone,'' saying Kristina left my room.

"I told you...that you would agree to it, sis-in-law" Ryan smirked beside me.

"Stop calling me that, it's worse than the other nickname you gave me."

"So you like it when I call you pumpkin-pudding."

"Just die, Ryan" I scoffed at him and focused my attention back on the elders, excitedly discussing the wedding plans.

"Let it be a close family thing. Please make sure the media doesn't get a whiff of this. Let her continue her normal life at least till she completes her education." Uncle Raj said.

"Yes sure, but if you are inviting any relatives from India give me the details. I will arrange a flight for them. And where do you want the wedding to be held, Amy?" Peter directed his attention to me.

"What? Me? Why me?" I looked surprised.

"Yeah ding ding ding. It's your wedding after all." Ryan said knocking on the side of my head. I swatted his arm away.

"I don't know somewhere open. The weather is nice." I shrugged my shoulders in response.

"Oh, I know the perfect place." Kristina chirped excitedly clapping her hands.

"Amy, you need to start shopping soon. You have to select your wedding dress and pick the rings too."

Oh my god! Rings and wedding dress! I'm getting freaking married!! Ever since I was four I used to dream about wearing a wedding dress andclickingk a pose just like my parent's giant wedding photo frame in our living room. But never did I think it's going to be Jason out of all the people in the world.
