First of all, thank you everyone for reading, voting, and commenting on my book. You were the ones who gave me hope to continue :)

Having said that, there are a few things that need to be clarified.

*PLEASE DON'T SKIP THIS*

Karikala Cholan, as I said before, was very real. He was the most famous ruler of the ancient Cholas and took it to great heights. His father was indeed King Ilamchetchenni. His mother's name, however, remains unknown.

This is how the original Karikala Cholan looked like in his later years:

Evidence shows that he married the Velir princess of Nangur, whose name again is unknown. There are no details on any other marriages he might have had so I just assumed him to be monogamous :P His maternal uncle who saved him and showed him his full support is Irumpitar Thalayar indeed.

And yes, Karikala Cholan did build Kallanai eventually. Better known as the Grand Anicut, it is the oldest dam in the world and leaves me with awe every time I hear its name. Can you all feel how proud I'm right now?

This is the picture of the dam he built that exists to date:

And the rest *cue drumroll* are all fragments of my imagination

Yes, that means Irungovel is fictitious too!!

There are variations to his story. This is yours truly's version.

Also, his rule was referred to as the 'Golden Rule' in ancient literary texts where the empire flourished and the people prospered.

In fact, kingdoms surrendered just upon hearing he was about to declare war on them! So, yes, you were all right. He was the very first Baahubali, Lion King, and whatnot xD

That's about it I guess. You've officially come to the end of the book. Thank you once again. Happy Diwali and I'll miss you all!

Love,
