Arrival at the Inter-Sect Exchanges

The next day Ye Gui Feng requests for a large supply of food to take with him into his cave for secluded meditation. He plans to remain within his cave for the entirety of the month until the demonic sect meetings.

Time passes as Ye Gui Feng remains in his cave. On the few occasions that he does open his eyes to eat he is reminded of the definition of a NEET.

"I'm not the main character so I need to work even harder than most others to stay alive..."

Ye Gui Feng firmly believes that in this world he must act humble at all times. Only those who are fools would act arrogant.

From the many novels that Ye Gui Feng has read it is the arrogant fools that fall first under the hands of the main character.

The plan that Ye Gui Feng has in mind to stay alive is quite simple. Avoid the main character and avoid all the people in their party. If he does encounter the main character then he should act humbly without arrogance.

Soon a full month passes by and Ye Gui Feng's cave finally opens.

*Poof!* upon the opening of Ye Gui Feng's Immortal Cave a dark smoke comes pouring out from within.

The dark smoke quickly rises up into the stone ceilings of the sect.

Curious glances are directed towards it but there doesn't seem to be any harm coming from the smoke so it is mostly ignored after a while.

Emerging from his cave Ye Gui Feng is seen exuding the same dark mist. He is followed by Xiao Ju Hong and the two walk towards the center of the sect.

"..."

Ye Gui Feng without saying a word lined up with a group of inner sect disciples. Many eyes are focused on him.

The dark mist that comes from his body never ceases to stop.

"Uh?"

"Hm?"

Even Long Xing He, Elder Shu, and Elder Cai are somewhat shocked to see this strange mist circling around Ye Gui Feng.

"A-As expected of senior brother Ye..."

"Nothing less of an Honorary Disciple..."

The expression on Ye Gui Feng's face is dark. The dark mist that surrounds him makes him appear as a cold hearted individual that's not to be provoked.

Compared to the usual Ye Gui Feng that the disciples of the sect are used to seeing on a few occasions this one is entirely different. He looks to be ready for war.

"Let's go."

They didn't ask questions under the consideration of Ye Gui Feng's status in the sect. There was no traveling on foot this time. Instead a teleportation array is used under the combined strength of ten elders.

Momentarily everyone's vision is flashed with a bright ray of light. Reopening them they see themselves standing on a stone platform.

Upon emerging from the dark and cold hollows of the Burial Grounds Sect the disciples of the sect discover that the time of day is early afternoon with a generous ray of sunshine pouring down from above.

To those that are used to living in the dark most of the time this ray of sunshine is quite blinding to the eyes.

This is a massive campsite that's build under the efforts of the four major demonic sects. Each sect had a giant war tent set up for the stay of the sect's major characters while disciples and others would be given a shared tent or a single tent depending on their status.

This time the Burial Grounds Sect has brought along 50 disciples along with Elder Shu and Elder Cai. Adding on Long Xing He all the major characters of the sect is here aside from the old patriarchs.

"Let's head further in."

At the center of the campsite is a battle ring made up of stone. This was meant for the members of the junior generation to ask each other for pointers. This will allow the senior generations of each sect to gauge the other's strength later down the line.

There were rumors that if one performs too well there might be hidden dangers when heading outside of the sect during missions.

Each sect would try to keep a power balance between each other so if a powerful disciple rises they would plan on killing them off at a given opportunity to make sure that one sect will not be able to stand over the others.

Long Xing He and the two elders greet the important characters that come their way with a smile.

These important characters are all old foxes. Each of them are most definitely already scheming up something for the show later.

As the senior generation greets each other the disciples of each sect are encouraged to interact with one another. Either make friends or make enemies.

"..."

Ye Gui Feng didn't participate in any of such interactions as he stands off to the side with Xiao Ju Hong.

The cold expression that Ye Gui Feng gives off along with the dark mist that surrounds him makes other hesitant to go up to him for a chat. They even felt like the act of making eye contact is considered provoking towards the other party.

In the midst of all this Feng Jian Yun can be considered somewhat busy. He managed to breakthrough into the Foundation Establishment realm last time in the Nine Dragons' Vault along with enhancing his current Sword Intent. Occasionally he would give Ye Gui Feng a glance and a light smile to which Ye Gui Feng would give a nod back.

Amongst those of the Burial Grounds Sect's inner sect disciples there was one more prominent character. Gui Ling Ling, she is dressed in a black set of robes with a bit of red accents.

There weren't as many boys coming towards Gui Ling Ling's way as much as Long Huangrong but she is never the less surrounded by quite a few.

Gui Ling Ling's pale pink hair is quite unusual. Her face is seemingly covered up by a layer of frost as she acts coldly towards those that approach her whereas Long Huangrong would smile while turning those that come towards her down.

There were a few provocations fired amongst the junior generation but so long as it doesn't get out of hand an elder won't intervene. If it does get bad then it will be settled once the competition part of the event begin.

Even amongst the elder generation there were a few shots of provocation fired causing a bit of tension amongst the group.

Things were especially tense amongst those with the identity of Crowned Disciples. Each of them wanted to know where they stand amongst their generation.

As time passes the matter of formality ends as an elder raises his voice to speak.

"Those of the junior generation, if you wish to ask for pointers from each other you may do so now."
