Did You Know My Master?

"What?"

Within the Blue River Sect's sect master's residence that is located on top of the central mountain Lì Shéntóng (皪神童), the sect master of the Blue River Sect shot up to stand from his seat.

In front of Li Shentong stands Feng Jian Yun and Gui Ling Ling who had returned from the Burial Grounds Sect.

Both Feng Jian Yun and Gui Ling Ling had originally been sent to the Burial Grounds Sect as spies to collect information.

Although the Blue River Sect is a righteous sect on the surface they are really just a neutral sect that stands between demonic and righteous.

Their specialty is gathering information and selling them to the various other sects in exchange for wealth.

This makes the Blue River Sect quite special in the sense that they are relied upon as an information network here in the Moon and Stars Kingdom. Only those at the level of a sect patriarch would know about the Blue River Sect's hidden business dealings.

This in turn gives the Blue River Sect a high sense of security as none of the other major sects can afford to provoke them due to the importance of their information gathering abilities.

Gui Ling Ling, her true name Lì Shuǐling (皪水灵) is the daughter of Li Shentong whereas Feng Jian Yun more or less serves as her bodyguard and is also an inner sect disciple of the Blue River Sect.

"This Ye Gui Feng... How did he managed to escape from our information network with such an extraordinary background?"

The news of Ye Gui Feng's two Soul Separation realm Jiangshis and what he did to make the Heavenly Pillar Sect surrender has already been told to Li Shentong who furrows his eyebrows in confusion.

"This..."

Feng Jian Yun raises an eyebrow as he tries to recount the events of the Nine Dragons' Vault. But for some reason he finds some of his memories in disarray.

Something had happened in between the attacks of the Heavenly Scripture Sect and the Icy Winds Sect up to the point of their Crowned Disciples' executions. But for some reason the memories that deals with that event...

"How come I can't remember what happened then?"

Feng Jian Yun is quite positive of Ye Gui Feng's involvement then as well but he just can't seem to recall what it was that Ye Gui Feng had done to turn the tides of a losing battle.

"This is far too... Strange."

Li Shentong didn't dare to believe that his Blue River Sect's intelligence gathering abilities are lacking but for some reason when he considers how much information he had missed in regards to Ye Gui Feng he had to grit his teeth and admit to it.

"Father... This situation..."

"I know. *Sigh* this Burial Grounds Sect is far too mysterious. Especially that Ye Gui Feng. Jian Yun what do you think of him?"

"I..."

Feng Jian Yun is somewhat a loss upon recalling Ye Gui Feng's display of behavior that made him out to be a devil's incarnation.

"I'm also not quite sure. I've interacted with him on more than one occasion but what he did that time..."

Feng Jian Yun has always thought of himself as a good judge of character but after witnessing Ye Gui Feng's change in behavior he isn't quite sure anymore.

"Forget it then. You two have just gotten back. Go take a rest. For the time being we'll wait for the Burial Grounds Sect to make a move or wait for someone else to make a move on them first."
