The Earth Sword Falls

With his sharpened crow talon like nails Ye Gui Feng pricks the tip of his index finger with his thumb causing blood to flow out. He readily drips a few droplets of blood onto the red chrysanthemum to nourish it.

"He-?"

"Just like that he overcame his Tribulation?"

Bewildered looks of surprise are directed at Ye Gui Feng as every single person looked on in amazement.

There has never been anyone who had tackled a Tribulation in this manner and there will probably never be another to do the same.

"That Jiangshi is at the Soul Separation realm!"

The enemy patriarch, Patriarch Lu quickly realizes this causing the other patriarchs to widen their eyes in astonishment.

"Just how strong is he after that Tribulation?"

The Crowned Disciples of both sides regardless of friend or foe are all curious. They have never seen anyone taking on a Tribulation at the Core Formation realm before.

"Hmm."

Ye Gui Feng is also curious about his battle prowess at this stage that's equivalent to the early stages of Core Formation realm to other cultivators.

Giving the Sky Serpent Cane in his hand a spin Ye Gui Feng begins to descend onto the ground with Xiao Ju Hong.

"Kill that person and I shall personally reward them with fortune!"

It was then that Patriarch Dun calls out to the Crowned Disciples of his side to kill Ye Gui Feng.

Ever since Ye Gui Feng had showed up everything had gone south.

Patriarch Dun has clue as to what kind of cultivation this member of the junior generation has. But it was enough to make him feel anxious.

As for the Soul Separation realm Jiangshi it shouldn't be possible to continuously use it for a prolonged period of time.

"Kill him for glory!"

Every single Crowned Disciple on the battlefield and those on the 1,000 meter sword rushes towards Ye Gui Feng.

"It almost feels like experience points."

Ye Gui Feng looks towards the incoming Crowned Disciples with a frown. He flexes his right hand that holds the Sky Serpent Cane causing the magic treasure's hidden mechanism to activate.

The spine portion of the cane becomes flexibly loose as each vertebrae breaks apart. In the center of the cane is a powerful thread that holds it all together as a bone whip!

Swinging his arm out Ye Gui Feng causes the threaded bone whip to traverse a distance of ten meters. The whip wraps around the neck of one of the incoming Crowned Disciples and pulls them towards Ye Gui Feng.

Upon that Crowned Disciple closing in Ye Gui Feng raises his left hand and the black nails turn into sharpen claws. He stabs his claws towards the center of the person's chest and mercilessly impales them!

"Aaaahh!!"

The Crowned Disciple of the Heavenly Pillar Sect screams in pain but that scream is momentarily muted as Ye Gui Feng tightly grips his hand and crushes the screaming Crowned Disciple's heart!

"Mm good material."

Ye Gui Feng readily stores the corpse into his storage bag to later be processed into a Jiangshi.

"He's...!"

"...Collecting corpses?"

The incoming enemy Crowned Disciples suddenly all halted in place as they look upon Ye Gui Feng with terror in their eyes.

"Oh? What's wrong? Not going to make a move?"

With a cold smile Ye Gui Feng takes a step forward as he approaches the Crowned Disciples of the enemies' side.

As the enemy Crowned Disciples are distracted by their hesitation Ye Gui Feng nabs another one towards him and finishes them off in the same fashion before tossing their corpse into his storage bag.

"What are you all waiting for? Attack!"

Long Huangrong is the first to respond to the situation's abrupt change as she orders for the other Crowned Disciples to attack.

The battlefield once more descends into chaos as the two sides clash. Although the Burial Grounds Sect are outnumbered they made up for these lack of numbers with Jiangshis and their superior magic weaponry along with each individual disciple's skill.

In the midst of this battlefield Ye Gui Feng casually walks about with the Sky Serpent Cane in hand. The range of his weapon gives him an edge over others as he attacks from a distance.

As he had just broken into the 21st level of Qi Condensation Ye Gui Feng needed an exercise to get used to his current strength.

This battlefield is the best opportunity for Ye Gui Feng to do so as he slaughters his way through the enemy ranks alongside the other Crowned Disciples of the Burial Grounds Sect!

"Tch."

Patriarch Dun who sees this change on the battlefield clicks his tongue.

"Do not think for a minute that this is over!"

Patriarch Sun performs a set of incantation gestures and causes the massive 1,000 meter long giant sword to tremble.

"Dàdì Jiàn! (大地剑 Translation: Earth Sword)"

The massive sword moves forward and adjusts itself to point its blade downwards onto the earth.

Pointing two fingers down towards the ground Patriarch Sun causes the massive sword to fall!

Everything happened in the span of a few seconds making it so that hardly anyone would have the time to react!

But amongst the few that reacted Elder Shu and Elder Cai are the quickest.

Tong Tianzi's fist strikes towards the falling Earth Sword!

"...Uh!"

Blood leaks out of the mouth of Elder Shu as he endures the crushing pressure of the Earth Sword.

This is a grade eight magic treasure. Each grade difference makes the weapon vastly different from the last.

Typically these weapons belong to the ancestral figures of a sect. They are ancient weapons that have been left behind as the final trump card of a sect.

From the side Elder Cai comes in having already finished his incantation gestures. He bites the tip of his tongue.

The ground beneath him trembles as it splits apart. Formed from the earth itself is a massive 45 meter stone golem!

It's single eye shines ominously red before it strikes out towards the tip of the Earth Sword with Tong Tianzi that launches out a second punch!

But despite the combined efforts of the two elders the Earth Sword still refuses to back away seemingly intent on destroying the ground beneath the two giants!

"We can't let them drop that sword!"

Every single person knew that if this sword falls onto the ground it will break apart the earth that covers the Burial Grounds Sect.

The damage to the earth will cause the lands above to fall right on top of the sect and destroy everything from the Immortal Caves to the other important structures.

Cracks appear on the raised arm of Tong Tianzi and the stone golem. The sight of this causes many to look on with pale complexions.

"Die!"

Patriarch Sun roars as he bites the tip of his tongue and burns up his own life force to drive the Earth Sword down with even more strength!

*BREAK!* the arm of Tong Tianzi and the stone golem both crumbles as the Earth Sword comes down from above!

"Hmph. You want to destroy my Burial Grounds Sect? Dream on!"
