"I thought beast cubs are supposed to be rare..."

To magic beasts that generally have a seasonal period of mating and infertility rates being reduced as they cultivate to the higher realms their cubs are considered their most priceless treasures.

"They are but my family raises them as pets so we get one or two every year if we're lucky."

"Even if it doesn't happen every interval that's considered lucky enough to me considering how I'm going around without a mount."

"A mount? One either chooses the beast or the beast chooses you. In which case most choose the beast and attempt to subdue them in battle."

"Hmm I suppose it's better to gain recognition voluntarily than having to use violence."

Putting on a smile of amusing in what Ye Gui Feng had just said Qian Ye nods as she turns to face the distant mountains.

"I heard that there was a grade seven bloodline magic beast within these mountain ranges. Hence my purpose here. What of you?"

"Ah..."

Thinking that Qian Ye might take offense to what the Burial Grounds Sect might be doing here in this forest Ye Gui Feng feels like he couldn't just tell her that his sect had come here to hunt beasts for cores.

(...I somewhat doubt she'd care too much considering how this isn't even her backyard.)

After some hesitation Ye Gui Feng decides to just be honest.

"You probably won't like hearing this but my sect came here to hunt beasts for their cores in preparation for war."

Qian Ye blinks her eyes twice after hearing this.

"I see."

Surprisingly Qian Ye doesn't show much of a reaction aside from a light frown.

From the looks of it things are just as Ye Gui Feng had thought. Qian Ye didn't care too much about the beasts outside of her family's domain.

"Just make sure to leave the young ones alone. Overhunting can lead to major damages in the ecosystem after all. If that happens I won't have anything to take back with me in the future."

But that doesn't mean that Qian Ye won't show any kind of concern for them. After all there are benefits to having a balanced ecosystem.

As Qian Ye is really just a foreigner in this land that is called the Moon and Stars Kingdom she can't really afford to act overbearing. This place is at least a sea away from her family home.

"I got it."

This is something that Ye Gui Feng had already considered but he never the less takes out a jade slip to send a message to the patriarchs as a reminder and has made sure to mention that this girl's background seems rather extraordinary.

"Thank you."

"I'm somewhat curious about this grade seven bloodline magic beast as well. Mind taking me along?"

Ye Gui Feng continues to remain cautious of the older girl as he asks.

(Uh... They say to be careful around older girls so I probably should.)

This girl's appearance is the definition of elegance if she can be described with one word. But Ye Gui Feng has no intentions to hit on her. Although...

(Her outfit really does make it impossible to know where to look...)

Sensing the awkwardness that comes from Ye Gui Feng who keeps averting his eyes Qian Ye chuckles. The face of this youth is quite childish and plain but there is a hint of maturity in his eyes.
