Unfolding the Scythe

"Right we need to get away from here!"

Snapped out of their trance like state of mind the Yao family clansmen quickly follow after Ye Gui Feng's retreating figure.

Even if they stayed here there's no possible way for them to contend with the Chi family's current forces.

Although it was a shame to have to let such a powerful magic treasure escape their grasps life is still more important.

"Hmph they think they can get away? Dream on!"

One of the immortal realm patriarchs of the Chi family quickly approaches the Goddess of the Night and reaches his hand out for it. He plans to use it to slay the retreating Yao family clansmen but-

"Uh!?"

The Chi family patriarch's hand didn't even touch the handle of the weapon before a baleful aura erupts from the folded scythe and unleashes a powerful wave of destruction that made the immortal realm patriarch explode into a mist of blood!

"What!?"

"How!?"

Not even that patriarch's immortal soul managed to escape from the scythe's destructive attack!

In the midst of their escape the Yao family clansmen are suddenly forced to stop as their bodies freeze up.

"What the hell?"

Ye Gui Feng looks back at the direction of the folded scythe blade. He can hear a banshee like scream as the weapon rises higher up into the air.

The next thing that Ye Gui Feng sees right after a single blink is a trail of blood that is drawn out in the air.

"Uh!?"

The folded scythe shoots forth towards a clansman of the Chi family and pierces right through their chest! There wasn't even time for them to react as the folded scythe blade impales ten more clansmen in a row!

"Dammit why is it attacking us for!?"

"Ahhhh!!"

"No! Don't come here!"

Miserable shrieks come from the mouth of the Chi family clansmen as they flee in various different directions to avoid the Goddess of the Night that's continuing to hunt them down like wild animals!

The more of the Chi family that the Goddess of the Night kills the more powerful its aura seems to become as one after another its kill count begins to reach the 300s!

Even the Chi family patriarchs are rather fearful of this scythe as they are forced to keep their distance away from it.

Seeing this scalp numbing sight makes the fleeing Yao family clansmen look on with wide smiles.

"Hahahaha! This scythe blade is capable of killing immortals at a whim there's no possible way for these Chi family scum to escape!"

"This is what they get!"

"Kill them all!"

"..."

Despite everyone else looking at the scene in joy Ye Gui Feng can't help but feel uneasy...

After a few minutes of watching the Chi family clansmen get slaughtered passes the enemy numbers began to dwindle down as they hurriedly retreated back to the warship.

"...Not good!"

It was also then that the folded scythe slowly redirects its attention in the direction of the Yao family.
