Bite

"Ah this is heaven..."

Ye Gui Feng belches as he rubs his bulging stomach. After the food pill's effects vanished he has been eating constantly without stopping.

The taste of the beasts here in the Savage Beast Mountains is something to die for in Ye Gui Feng's eyes. He thought that it was a shame for only himself to know of this but then again he didn't mind monopolizing this to himself.

"Hmm."

Opening and closing his hands Ye Gui Feng feels like there's been a change to his body. The more beasts that he devours the more obvious this change became to him.

As it isn't a physical change Ye Gui Feng cannot see this change. He can only tell by his gut feeling alone that something is changing. This somewhat bothers him as he cannot tell if this change would benefit or harm him.

But the most obvious thing that's adding to this change is quite easy to tell. Whenever Ye Gui Feng eats a bird species beast he can tell that this change would intensify.

This gradually causes a theory to forms in Ye Gui Feng's head.

"Is this perhaps a way to cultivate my Heavenly Demon physique? The lich said that I had a three eyed crow as my demon but..."

Ye Gui Feng frowns. He truly needs the manual that will guide him on cultivating this physique but he didn't know where to acquire it.

"I should just eat more bird species beasts more often then."

Ye Gui Feng had no complains with that.

Over the past two months and a few weeks Ye Gui Feng has started to get a bit fatter. To discover what this change is he is readily making an excuse to himself to eat more so as to not feel guilty about this increase to his weight.

"Ah I guess if I keep going I'll lose my decent looks but oh well..."

Moving along to continue with his hunting Ye Gui Feng soon finds himself running around in circles. He has come across multiple ruined barbecue spits around the area that he had hunted in in the past.

Along with the bones that are left behind from Ye Gui Feng's meals people have even began to stalk the area to get a view of this "supposed beast that roasts its prey over a spit."

Ye Gui Feng has naturally heard of other practitioners talking about this beast to which he finds himself frowning.

"It's like I'm being treated as an endangered species... I guess this means that I'm popular?"

As Ye Gui Feng didn't feel like shattering the imaginations of those that are curious of this beast's identity he didn't bother to reveal himself in their eyes.

Sometimes somethings are just better off unknown. Mysteries are only mysteries if it is left in the dark to people's imaginations.

"*Sigh* time to move..."

One thing is for certain. Ye Gui Feng can't continue to hunt here anymore. The number of beasts here have drastically decreased.

For the time being Ye Gui Feng decides to move to the areas that are near the lakes as he has started to develop an appetite for sea food.

"The next time that I go to the first trial grounds I must catch me some sea food. Hehehe little sea beasts look forward to the next time that your... Xié yéye (邪爷爷 Translation: Grandpa Xie) comes to visit."

In the end Ye Gui Feng decides to call himself grandpa Xie using his clansman name in the Yao family.

Within the first trial grounds of the Yao family every single sea beast suddenly felt a cold chill running down their spine. Each and every one of them instantly thought of their nemesis, Ye Gui Feng.

Having made his way to the lake areas of the middle regions Ye Gui Feng begins to survey his new hunting ground.

The climate here is considered decent and the lakes are home to alligators. These alligators have six legs, two at the front and four at the back. Their mobility in the lake is definitely not be underestimated.

Surrounding the lake areas are generally beasts that live in groups such as goats, deer and sheep. These three beasts all have special characteristics.

Their horns are different from their ordinary animal counterparts. The goats have bull like horns. The deer have Heracles beetle horns while the sheep has very short and stubby horns. Their skulls are capable of being used as a battering ram while their legs are built for explosive charging strength.

As for the bird species most of these reside on top of trees in large nests.

"Alright I'll make a fishing rod first."

The alligators are slightly stronger than the beasts that he had hunted before so Ye Gui Feng isn't willing to enter into their domain.

Imagine being swarmed by thousands upon thousands of gators makes the inner scaredy cat within Ye Gui Feng pale.

From within his storage bag Ye Gui Feng pulls out his Sky Serpent Cane transforms it into a whip and attaches a stitching string onto the tip with bait.

Sitting a few meters away from the lake Ye Gui Feng with his makeshift fishing rod at the ready hurls it out.

"..."

Ye Gui Feng waits for something to take a bite.

It didn't take that long before Ye Gui Feng hooks onto something causing his eyes to beam with excitement.

"Alright."

Licking his lips Ye Gui Feng begins to pull the bone whip back as each of the spine bones portions of the whip gradually realigns itself together into a cane.

"..."

As he is pulling up the alligator that he caught someone walks up behind Ye Gui Feng with soundless footsteps.

A cold and pale set of thin fingered hands reaches out and grasps tightly Ye Gui Feng's shoulders.

"...!"

Sensing a powerful pressure of killing intent coming from behind him Ye Gui Feng abruptly turns his head around.

"You...!"

Ye Gui Feng sees a fierce set of glowing red eyes that gazes coldly at him back. The person is a raven haired girl who has a face that is seemingly covered in frost and devoid of all expressions.

"Haa!"

The girl with the ravenous hair opens her tiny mouth as sharp fangs protrude outwards from her upper jaws and-

"Uh!"

*Chomp!* sinks into the neck of Ye Gui Feng.

Despite wanting to break free Ye Gui Feng finds himself completely unable to do so as the girl's tiny hands holds him firmly in place.

Ye Gui Feng's entire feels to have been drained of strength as ice like coldness comes to envelop him.

Blood is rapidly sucked out of the opened wounds and flows into the girl's mouth as she drinks in gulps.
