This World Is Simply Unreasonable

"Uuu..."

Having changed into a new set of white robes Ye Gui Feng walks through the forestry of the mid regions of the Savage Beast Mountains with an expression of exhaustion on his face.

The adrenaline rush of giving his little speech has ended and Ye Gui Feng flushes red as smoke comes out of his ears before he drops down onto his knees and hands.

(What have I done!? I don't want to come off as a hot blooded shonen manga's main character that only knows how to talk smack but can't do shit! All the things that I've just said must have come right out of a novel that I've read in the 21st century!)

But the rice has already been cooked and this means that it was already too late to take anything back. What's been said has been said and what's been heard has been heard by the ears of Yao Xue Hua.

In Ye Gui Feng's fit of embarrassment he had ran off in quite a pathetic manner to hide after recovering from his adrenaline rush.

Unbeknownst to Ye Gui Feng who's still in the midst of being depressed Yao Xue Hua is currently hiding nearby. Hearing what Ye Gui Feng had said her curiosity towards him has been piqued.

"...Hm?"

Yao Xue Hua tilts her head in confusion as to why Ye Gui Feng had suddenly gotten down onto his hands and knees.

(Dammit that has got to the most embarrassing thing I've ever done!)

There truly wasn't anything more embarrassing than saying such lines with a straight face. Depressingly Ye Gui Feng balls up into a fetal position as he crouches down and begins to roll around.

Although these words might be embarrassing to say in Ye Gui Feng's opinion it is also those same words that moved Yao Xue Hua's heart. Perhaps that was the only saving grace that kept his mind from falling apart.

Having been called a monster in the dark by those that see her walking by Yao Xue Hua never knew how to express herself in front of others.

Those tears... Are the first tears that Yao Xue Hua had ever shed since birth. A few moments back had been her first time truly showing her emotions to someone.

"*Sigh* whatever what's done is done. I'll live with the consequences of my actions..."

Dragging himself up from his depressing posture Ye Gui Feng continues to wander about. After an hour his stomach begins to growl uncomfortably.

"Hmm."

Ye Gui Feng rubs his own stomach with a frown. After having his blood drained the excess fat that he had accumulated over the past few weeks had all vanished. With his body now so thin it felt right to eat something.

The alligator that Ye Gui Feng had managed to fish up had been left behind and he has no idea what had happened to it afterwards. Regardless he doesn't feel like going back to grab it.

Despite having some food in his storage bag they just can't beat the taste of the beast meat that Ye Gui Feng has grown so accustomed to.

"Yeah I'm hungry..."

With food in mind Ye Gui Feng begins to hunt for wild beasts as he checks every place possible. Although most of the beasts here live in packs making hunting them difficult, but then again it wasn't all too rare to find one that's left its pack.

That is until...

"...Am I seriously that naïve or does heaven have something against me...?"

Ye Gui Feng looks up at the skies with a look of sadness. He has searched for four hours and nothing has appeared.

It's as if the entirety of the forest has suddenly become deserted of wild life.

As he cannot detect Yao Xue Hua who is following him Ye Gui Feng didn't know that it was because of her natural blood lust that caused these beasts to run.

A week goes by and Ye Gui Feng begins to panic.

"What is going on? I haven't seen a single beast for days! My rations are starting to run low as well! I..."

At this rate Ye Gui Feng knew that he is in trouble as his grabs his own hair.

"Dammit what is going on?"

Feeling frustrated Ye Gui Feng sighs as he begins to check his remaining supply of food. The amount causes his entire face to go white. He truly didn't have much else left to eat.

"I-I won't really starve to death out here now will I?"

Ye Gui Feng looks off into the distance and sees the poison cloud that he had caused. It is still there and continues to not show any signs of dwindling...

"No, no, I must stay positive... I'll eventually run across a wild beast to eat..."

Another week goes by and the figure of Ye Gui Feng that moves through the forest with bent knees suddenly collapses onto the ground in hunger.

"..."

Ye Gui Feng's eyes are utterly bloodshot as he stares off to the side.

"...What is wrong with this world? Is it too much to ask for lemons to make lemonade?"

Ye Gui Feng truly feels like this world is simply unreasonable. Why must it treat him so cruelly? Ever since his arrival here in this world nothing has ever gone in his direction.

In the beginning Ye Gui Feng had entered the Seven Rivers Sect only to be kicked out. On paper he had already died.

Even after making it into the Burial Grounds Sect things are still just as unreasonable for Ye Gui Feng. The war and being chased aside things had been especially unreasonable when he had to deal with Long Huangrong.

Now here in the Yao family as well. Ye Gui Feng had endured attacks by Yao Lei Yun to make it up to the summit of Mount Tongtian.

Despite having received recognition from the ancestors and thinking that everything will be fine from then on Ye Gui Feng found himself chased by the clansmen of the Yao family much to his horror and dismay.

After Yao Nie Tian had saved him from that dangerous situation Ye Gui Feng had thought that his situation would get better but Yao Nie Tian had sent him here.

"Even if this is karma at work for having made that poison cloud this is still far too unfair... I-I never meant to do that."

As Ye Gui Feng continues to complain and waste away his strength and breath he eventually faints from starvation.

A few minutes after Ye Gui Feng had fainted the footsteps of Yao Xue Hua approaches his body.

"..."

Yao Xue Hua looks down on Ye Gui Feng before crouching down to pick him up.
