For an entire month Ye Gui Feng delved into his theory tests in his creation of cores. The poison cores turn out to be slightly more difficult to grasp than the explosive cores.

For one the poison would spread out wildly giving Ye Gui Feng a sense of panic as he realized that this is a life threatening experiment.

As Ye Gui Feng didn't have a technique that allows him to gather up the poisonous air he had went out to take a look in the skill archives. After paying with some spirit stones he got the most basic one.

For the explosive core it was just a matter of emptying out the core of magic energy and then replacing it all with the reactive herbs and a bit of water. Gunpowder is kept in the equation for further damage potential but they served another purpose.

When the core needs to explode Ye Gui Feng will use an incantation gesture that ignites the gunpowder within the body of the Jiangshi to cause the temperature of the Jiangshi to heat up. This in turn should cause a pseudo pill concoction effect that will make the herbs react and explode.

After a day of rest Ye Gui Feng puts all of his research together and begins to produce and rework some of the Jiangshi that he already has.

Selecting a few above average Jiangshi Ye Gui Feng has them bath in the cauldron of hot water that's filled with crushed beast core powder that is made from grinding beast cores down. These are the Jiangshi that are to be given a poison core.

As for those that are of lesser quality Ye Gui Feng makes them into bombs. The explosive cores can be used on their own but containing them in a Jiangshi's body for the element of surprise had been Ye Gui Feng's original intent behind their creation.

On the start of the third month Ye Gui Feng had used his time to examine the corpses of the sea beasts that he possessed and even attempted to make one into a Jiangshi as well.

However to Ye Gui Feng's unfortunate discovery the amount of materials needed is quite costly so he could only choose one of them.

In the end Ye Gui Feng picked the crocodile.

Using the blood controlling art Ye Gui Feng drained the corpse of its blood and began the filling process.

As this is Ye Gui Feng's first time working on a beast type Jiangshi he takes his sweet time with it while being careful to not ruin anything.

Another month goes by and in the midst of his Jiangshi production Ye Gui Feng would cultivate a little.

The amount of time that Ye Gui Feng actually spent on cultivation can be considered very lacking compared to other practitioners.

But that wasn't really just because of the amount of work that Ye Gui Feng has. There's simply just not enough ghosts in his current environment to aid in his cultivation.

Ye Gui Feng rested for a day after the entire process of filling up the crocodile's corpse with Undead Ash.

With all of his preparation finished Ye Gui Feng stands up and leaving his cave with the Jiangshi in his storage bag.

"Time to slaughter my way into the third trial."

Ye Gui Feng has decided that no matter what he must make his way into the top 5,000s this time. Otherwise the amount of spirit stones that he's spent on his project just might make him throw up blood.

The rules state that ordinary servant disciples aren't allowed to fly so Ye Gui Feng can only run to the teleportation array that takes him to Mount Evil Blood.

Upon arriving at Mount Evil Blood Ye Gui Feng heads right for the gates and steps into the first stage of the trial. As a rule one must always start at the beginning if they choose to exit.
