Before Yao Nie Tian can erupt with rage Yao Xie Xian breaks up the argument as he releases a terrifying wave of pressure from his immortal realm cultivation base!

"Kuh..."

Similarly to everyone below the immortal realm that had been standing Ye Gui Feng feels a heavy mountain crushing down on him causing him to kneel.

Ye Gui Feng's chest tightens up with pain as he grits his teeth. The mountain like weight is only lifted after five seconds but despite it lasting only that long he feels like it was ten times worse than when he had been bathing in the sea of flames.

"Hmph."

Yao Yan Hao snorts coldly before turning around and leaving with Yao Yan He in his arms.

"*Sigh*"

Yao Nie Tian turns to face Ye Gui Feng while sighing.

"Sorry... For causing you trouble..."

Ye Gui Feng truly did feel apologetic seeing the situation escalate to such extremes. But his heart truly did hurt painfully from losing that crocodile Jiangshi.

"Don't worry about it. This was going to happen sooner or later with my own situation."

Yao Nie Tian places a hand on Ye Gui Feng's head before speaking.

"There are somethings that you should know about me. I'll tell you about it another time. Also know this, the more overbearing you act here the better it is for me. Alright?"

Ye Gui Feng looks up at Yao Nie Tian with a surprised expression on his head before answering with a nod.

Towards Yao Nie Tian Ye Gui Feng truly did feel a sense of fatherly warmth.

Yao Nie Tian teleports back to his seat and sat down upon saying this.

With a heavy sigh Yao Xie Xian leans back on his chair. Within the Yao family Yao Nie Tian's identity is quite special. Some accepts him while others do not.

As his robes had been completely ruined Ye Gui Feng frowns before swapping out his ruined rags for a fresh set of black robes.

The first name had been drawn and a handsome faced young man walks up to the stage. His posture is filled with majestic elegance and the air around him seems to make people look upon him with awe.

"Yao Chen Zi the son of Patriarch Yāo Gǔ Qū (妖古曲)."

"I thought he broke through to the Nascent Soul realm already."

"He didn't. For the chance to acquire a magic treasure I heard that he forced himself to stay at the Core Formation realm."

"Yāo Gōng Bǎo (妖宫宝)!"

Yao Chen Zi's opponent is a nervous looking clansman who walks unsteadily up to the stage. Ye Gui Feng smiles as he felt himself to be extremely lucky to have gotten another blank. However...

"Senior cousin Chen. I've no hope to defeat you so instead of wasting your time I shall concede."

Ye Gui Feng immediately curses in his mind. He would like to have a moment of breather after what he had just been through but that hope had just been shattered...

Yao Gong Bao smirks towards Ye Gui Feng. He had done that on purpose.

Ye Gui Feng had been acting far too arrogant to others' liking throughout this competition making him a target that everyone wants to see beaten to a pulp.

"You bitch, Yao Gong Bao was it? I'll remember you. Once this is over if I ever meet you aga- ah pui. I'll find you later and I'll make sure to teach you a good lesson!"

With reluctance Ye Gui Feng steps onto the stage and faces Yao Chen Zi.

"Cousin Xieshen should I pity you for being such a hate magnet?"

Recalling the words that Yao Nie Tian had said Ye Gui Feng smiles and does his best to act out the air of an arrogant young master who has nothing to fear.

Towards Yao Chen Zi Ye Gui Feng raises his chin and places his left arm behind his waist while flicking his long sleeve.

"Hahahaha Xié-mǒu (邪某 Meaning: Arrogant way to refer to oneself) doesn't mind. It just goes to show that these people are merely far too narrow minded."

Immediately a series of curses are directed at Ye Gui Feng.

"This bastard is courting death!"

"I don't care if he's Patriarch Nie Tian's son! Senior cousin Chen you must beat him to a pulp for us all!"

Ye Gui Feng sighs and shakes his head while pressing a hand to his forehead.

Ye Gui Feng smiles sinisterly as his eyes give off a fierce gleam of white light.

The surrounding people are instantly reminded of what had just happened to Yao Yan He.

They didn't know what kind of nightmare Yao Yan He had been shown but it was surely something terrifying if it can make someone as proud as Yao Yan He shed tears.

"Enough talk. I will admit that you are very unusual amongst all the other members of the same generation as me. But do not forget that you're merely an ant."

"Well then this ant here will be bullet ant. I'm not easy to mess with. Come at me and be prepared to get stung."

Although Ye Gui Feng might be shown respect while walking around Mount Zhu Tian that is simply an act of formality on other people's parts.

Hardly any of the fellow clansmen would show Ye Gui Feng such respects and bow to him when walking by.

This simply goes to show that Ye Gui Feng's status on paper might be high but in reality people do not agree to truly give him his due respects.

To Ye Gui Feng there is only a single solution to resolve this issue. Make them swallow their words and prove to them all through a demonstration that he is strong and is capable of standing up for himself.

Despite not knowing Yao Nie Tian's background and history Ye Gui Feng senses that there is a deep darkness in the old man's heart.

"You said that the more arrogant I act here the better it is for you. In that case I'll make you proud to have accepted me as your son."
