Y/n's POV:

I grabbed my spare key from my pocket and opened Hermione's door. I walked in her dorm room and sat on her bed as I waited for her return.

Hermione's POV:

Ron and I were quick to run down the halls of the Gryffindor tower to reach my dorm. I opened the door and brought my lips towards Ron's instantly. I led him to my bed not breaking the kiss, only to be startled by a familiar voice. Too familiar for my liking.

"Having fun without me?"

I quickly whipped my head to my beds direction only to see Y/n sitting on it. My eyes widened as I thought of an excuse to get out of this situation.

"Y- Y/n, I- what are you doing here!" I said as I see Ron slowly getting out of there in the corner of my eye.

"No no, you get to stay Weasley." Y/n said as she motioned for Ron to get back in the room.

"And to answer your question, aren't I your girlfriend? I'm allowed to be here. Or did you forget that when you were with him?"

"Y/n it's not l-" she cut me off.

"Ronald, didn't you know she was my girlfriend?" She stated. Ron only stayed silent which made her mad.

"Ronald Weasley, answer me when I'm talking to you!" She shouted. It made the both of us jump in surprise.

"Y- yes, I d- did." He stuttered.

"Ah, so the both of you are aware that my girlfriend is cheating on me. Am I right?!" She spoke harshly.

"I was going to break it with you anyway!" I suddenly spat back making me surprised too.

"I was seeing Ron behind your back!" I said proudly that she didn't notice anything at all.

She let out a breathly laugh and said "You thought I didn't know? I'm not as smart as you, but I'm not dumb Hermione. You aren't really good at hiding things, especially those hickeys that aren't from me."

"I was just waiting for you to tell me on your own. But I guess I got impatient and wanted 'this' to end soon" she said as she alternated pointing towards the two of us.

"H- how?"

"I've got eyes and ears everywhere Hermione. I think betting on me isn't the best option for you."

"Yes, I heard you guys betting on me. 50 galleons huh? I'm offended, I'm at least 51 galleons worth." She laughed at her own joke.

"Y/n pleas-"

"But that doesn't matter now, does it?"

"W- what do you mean it doesn't matter?" I stuttered out

"Well the bet was to get with me then embarrass me in front of Hogwarts right? Well I'm breaking up with you right now which makes you the embarrassed one." She said as my eyes widened. I can't believe her.

"What the fuck are you talking about!" I yelled out

"Aww, poor Mione lost her girlfriend and the bet." She said with a mockingly cute voice. She stood up and walked pass me. She came to a halt right beside me, our shoulders slightly touching.

"Oh, and don't worry. I didn't let this go to waste, I bet on you too." She said as she turns her face to look at me with a devilish smirk.

"But out of all of Hogwarts, you chose Ronald to cheat on me with? A bit of a downgrade if you ask me." She said as she continued walking out, after bumping shoulders with Ron. She left me and Ron in my perfects dorm room with still a surprised expression.

Her words sting like the basilisks venom. My friends knew I liked her that's why they bet on it. I couldn't just decline their bet or they'll think of me badly. I felt guilty just right after I agreed with them but I just went with it. It wasn't actually the money I agreed to, it was just being with her. She was sweet at first but after a few months she turned cold around me. That's why I went out with Ron. I didn't know she knew about Ron and I seeing each other, or the bet for that matter. I forgot the bet existed when I finally got with her, but it all came back when she spat those harsh words. I know I'm in the wrong side here but it still hurt. I really do have feelings for her, it's just that with everything going on I feel confused. I'm getting mixed emotions. Sadness, anger, anxiety, confusion, surprise, pain, shame, guilt-

Oh lovely, I'm guilty.
