As Emaan entered Dr Masry's office ,her panic evaporated  to condense down into numerous fears and anxieties as she saw all senior head doctors : Dr Fatimeh Melbos ,Dr Sarah Alma ,Dr Duraid Idris and Dr Issa Fateh sitting there , causing her mind to ring with  one thought,

I am surely going to get terminated .

Meekly saying salam ,Emaan stood infront of them as they settled on the chairs as there were only five chairs available , Khaled opted to stand . They all smiled and replied to her  salam. But to Emaan their smiles appeared to be devil smirks and all of them not doctors but  attorneys with Khaled being the judge who gladly had finalise his verdict of termination & humiliation .Her mind was haywire with emotions while her heart whispered Alhamdulilah ,when she heard Dr Masry stand up and speak,

" Dr Emaan ,we as doctors of Al Firdous Hospital have been very strict with following rules and regulations but this time we got lazy with the uprising issue and would have failed to adhere to our rules if our azīz Dr Khaled haven't reminded us "

At this Khaled cleared his throat making Dr Masry to look at him and chuckle as he said,

"La bas ,hadhih alhaqiqat alty dhakartuha lana la tukhjil alan" ( it's okay! It's the truth you reminded us ,don't be shy now )

Khaled looked down nodding his head dejectedly while Emaan looked at him through her eyes periphery ,thinking of ways of killing him right there, when again Dr Masry began speaking to her,

" Yes ,Dr Emaan where was I ....oh yes...see Doctor Emaan many consider astagfirullah doctors as second God but we know that we doctors are mere slaves of Allah who HE has blessed to serve people but like any other slaves we have limitations and imperfections ,but we are expected to be perfect in our jobs and we must try to be ...& often in this demand and supply of perfection, doctor's hardwork and sacrifices are.... ignored but here in Al Firdous we try to let that not happen.. we tend to give badges of honour to motivate and  appreciate hard work...& one badge of honour as a ritual we provide after a month of appointment of new doctors for their services ..to motivate them to work more hard.....we are sorry Dr Emaan we forgot to give you ..even though you have been doing good ..."

Emaan was shocked  & listening to Dr Masy her mind instantly resonated with the ayah of Quran ,"If you are grateful ,I will surely increase you [in favour] (Surah Ibrahim 14:7) making her heart bow in her Lord's love . She was lost in the thoughts of her Rab's infinite mercy when she felt Dr Fatimeh pinning the small beautiful dahlia flower shaped  badge of baby pink colour on her doctor's coat ,Emaan looked at Dr Fatimah Melbos as she said,

" This flower means dignity and commitment ...hold on to the dignity of being a doctor and be committed to this noble job by heart.... & keep up the good work Dr Emaan"

Overwhelmed with her Lord's mercy & the feeling of being first time awarded for her doctor services ,Emaan  beamed at Dr Melbos. Unknown that her smile had provided ease to someone's gnawing guilt .As Emaan talked with other doctors,she heard the click of the door and as she turned, she saw Khaled leaving the office not before ruffling her mind with myriad why's and what's .

When Emaan had met Sidra and Yamama during their break in canteen and showed them the reason she was called in Dr Masry's office ,both Sidra and Yamama squealed and hugged her. Emaan giggled at their response and hugged them back. As they sat ,Emaan asked them ,

" Why don't I see you guys or other doctors wearing this ..?"

" Well it's because you are allowed to wear this badge only for one month after that you can't" Sidra said .
