Chapter 37

Akali: "Hurry up y/n keep up."

A felt a shortness of breath as I chased akali through the forest. She was giggling like a mad woman the whole time.

Akali: "You'll never catch me!"

I took a few deep breaths as akali kept running.

Me: "Wait up!"

Akali: "Nope! You have to catch me!"

Her giggling faded and I lost track of her, a thick fog had set in.

Me: "Akali!"

I then heard a feint giggling in the distance. I was tired but I ran after her laugh. I go deeper into the forest, following the laugh with determination.

Akali: "Y/n!"

Me: "I'm coming!"

I felt my body giving up on me but I pushed through. I saw her for second, she turned to face me. She looked older almost like an adult.

Me: "How'd you get so big?"

She glared at me

Akali: "I grew up."

I smile at her

Me: "Let's keep playing."

She turned away from me

Akali: "I don't like you anymore y/n, and I don't want to see you ever again."

I looked at her confused

Me: "But-"

She ran away and I tried to chase after her. But I fell down, I take a look at my legs, they had turned into dust. I faded away slowly.

Akali: "Y/n!"

My body sits up instantly. It took me a second to process what was happening.

Akali: "Y/n?"

I turn to akali's silouhet

Me: "Yeah?"

I feel her place her hand on my shoulder.

Akali: "Why were you crying?"

I didn't say anything and just sat there for a few moments.

Me: "I was crying?"

I hear her shuffle closer to me

Akali: "Yeah, you were whimpering and crying."

I check my face and feel that I was indeed crying.

Me: "I'm fine akali."

I tried to lay back down in bed and pretend it didn't happen.

Akali: "You do realize I'm not going to let you sleep until you tell me what's wrong?"

I quickly sat back up

Me: "I..."

I took a deep breath

Me: "I had a nightmare."

She gently wrapped her arm around my waist.

Akali: "Okay, and what happened in that nightmare?"

I nervously tapped my finger against the bed.

Me: "D-do you promise not to judge me if I tell you?"

She hummed in agreement, I told her the whole story. After I finished she stayed silent. Suddenly she grabbed my face by the sides and dragged my face closer to her own.
