Meera's POV
Stepping on the stage I see Neha and Rahul dancing together or more like him making her dance
on one side.
We made our way to the other side and faced each other. I am feeling really nervous about it.
Meera you don't have to do this if you are uncomfortable and I'll make aunty understand anyhow leave I'll just go and deny her ok he said going back.
But before he could I stopped him by holding his hand he looked at me in question.
I don't know what came over me but he always managed to calm my nerves and I heard another song start and it was one of my favourites so not wanting him to go I made him stand in front of me and asked for his hand he was surprised but gave to me and kept his other hand on my bare waist that made me blush and I kept my other hand on his shoulder and unknowingly my feet started to move and he synced his steps with me.

The lyrics left my mouth with the song playing in the background.
I was looking in his eyes the whole time thinking about the way he held me not too tight not too soft just right the way he held my hand and how easily we synced together.

I sang the next para with the chorus and he twirled me at last and pulled me closer making my breath hitched and the song completed and I heard the applause.
He still held me so I said to him you can leave me.
Never he replied making my eyes widened.
I.. I mean the dance is over I said clearly he seemed to understand and left me and we looked around and I noticed Rahul and Neha were at their seats and clapping for us.
When did they go ? I thought in my mind.
But the attention made me flushed and we stepped down the stage.
Going towards Neha's mother I took Yash from her.
Very nice dance you both did and God bless you both from the evil eye and always be together she said to me and him who just came by my side.
And patting on my head she left.
I was blushing by her blessings I mean what she said was anything but true we just swayed not much.
Oh my god I didn't know you guys danced like that said a very cheerful Adi sir.
We didn't know it either he mumbled by my side.
Excuse me saying I excused myself from them and went to the other side.
My cheeks are still burning by the dance and I came across Divya.
Hey Meera you good what happened to your face? She asked me looking at my red face.
Yeah it's just hot here I replied her.
Oh really or is it a person with whom you just danced with she said with a teasing grin.
Shut up you are just thinking like Neha stop it I said to her.
Hmm or maybe I and everyone here just noticed what she did before she replied confusing me.
And what is that ? I asked her.
Your both chemistry that just stole the whole show she replied.
No you're seeing things I said.
Fine then call me delusional she replied smiling.
I shook my head at her thoughts no way it was just a dance.
(Are you sure? Asked my subconscious
Not you too I replied.)
Come drink something you might be thirsty she said and we went to drink some juice.
Soon I was hydrated and going towards him I glanced at the stage where both the bride and groom's parents were dancing.
They looked so cute and adorable dancing together.
Hey I can hold him you must be tired he said when I was beside him and stretched his hands for Yash.
No it's fine I replied.
No Meera it's fine he said softly and took Yash from me.
I was tired but he would be too so I didn't want to but how easily he understood me that just made me smile.
By the way what's on your hand ? He asked.
Nothing I said getting confused.
Show he said and I showed my hand to him.
He turned my hand and seeing the Mehendi he looked closely.
I was thinking why is he interested but remembered his name was on my hand oh god before I could take my hand back he saw it already.
I... It was Neha she just wanted to prank me and you know how she is always...saying I started to explain but he stopped me by keeping his finger on my lips making me freeze.
I love it he said making me frown.
Seeing my frown he answered
My name in your mehendi.
