Chapter 68 The Moon

Karan's POV

Yesterday when Meera cooked my favourite aloo paratha I was surprised. And when I got to know she made it to thank me I knew I had to make it right.
She didn't owe me anything I did what I wanted to because I wanted to celebrate us and so I didn't want her to think otherwise about it.

And I liked the aloo paratha too much which was made by her so I took it in my tiffin too.
My whole day passed thinking about her. Nowadays it always does like this I'm always daydreaming about her.

Then she messaged me asking if I wanted to remove the decorations I replied saying it was up to her as it was for her I did all that so and I didn't really think she'd keep it.
But she amazed me when I found it still there when I got back home and when I asked her she said she wanted to keep it. I was really happy knowing she loved it and wanted to keep it.

When I was busy playing with Yash I got a call from Naina she had been constantly nagging me.
Her sister's family had just shifted here so she wanted to help them and had been asking me to get an admission for her neice. I refused as it's already mid of the session so but she asked me to help no matter what as I was the only one who could help her in this matter.
She had called me to remind me for so.

Next Day,
She had been messaging me for the same so in the end getting irritated by her nagging I decided that we'll go to see some schools together tomorrow as it was a Sunday and she was happy for the same and agreed.

So while having dinner I asked Meera if she could watch Yash as it was a Sunday I couldn't just force her it was her holiday but she agreed saying Sure why not I am happy too.
I nodded in response and continued having dinner and went to sleep.
Just like every other night Yash woke up crying I too woke up and calmed him and he slept back in no time.

I was feeling thirsty and went to the kitchen to drink some water.
There I took a glass of water and drank from it.
Coming back to the living room I saw the door of the balcony open so I went to close it.
But when I was going to close it I saw Meera sitting there and I went to her.
What are you doing here? I asked her.
She was surprised hearing me but responded saying Nothing just couldn't sleep so I came here.
Oh ok I said in response and I too looked at the sky like her sitting beside her.
The sky was full of stars that were shining bright in the night.
The stars looks so beautiful right ? I couldn't help but ask.
Yes but not as much as the moon she replied looking at the moon.
You like the moon more than the stars ? I asked her.
I love it she said with a smile looking at it.
Why ? I asked as I wanted to know her reason.
What why ? She asked me back.
Why moon? What's there to love ? I asked shrugging.
What's there not to love about the moon. She said and I raised my eyebrow listening her but then she continued.
Moon is my listener even when I'm not speaking. With just one glance everything is understood.
When I look at the moon it looks back at me reminding me it's not just me who's looking at the moon. It's not just me who feels lonely with room full of people who shines brightly. It's the moon too sometimes it too feels it when people just look at the sky full of stars that shines bright. It's okay to love the stars but it's great to love the moon.
It changes like me everyday it's not the same but it's still the moon. And unknowingly I fell in love with the moon that felt me when everyone was busy looking at the sky full of stars. She said admiring the moon with a little smile on her face.
I couldn't help but look at the moon and it's lover she just taught me something I had never even tried to look at.
It takes nothing to fall in love with the stars but it takes a lot to fall in love with the moon.
We just looked at the moon together. I don't even know when time passed sitting beside her watching the moon. But when I felt her head on my shoulder I knew it was time to say goodnight to the moon and so I took her in my arms and went to her room. Keeping her on the bed softly I tucked her in and went back to close the door of the balcony. And after that I too went to sleep probably to dream about the moon.

Next morning,

I woke up on time and thought to make breakfast after getting ready.
There was no sign of Meera and Yash meaning she was busy feeding him so I made the breakfast.
And in no time they were back so Me and Meera took our seats to have the breakfast.
While we were having our breakfast she asked me
When are you going? I mean I was just asking.
No problem I'll be leaving around 10 or something I replied her.
Ok she responded nodding her head.
You sure you don't mind watching Yash I mean its your holiday it's ok if you don't want to I said thinking what if she's just agreeing for my sake.
No no its fine as Neha had just got married I don't want to disturb her she would have plans and by the way I could never get enough of Yash so no problem she said making me smile at her last words.
Fine then I said and finishing the breakfast I gave a message to Naina that I'm leaving as we were going to meet at one of the schools that I had listed out for her. And she replied positively.

Pecking on Yash's forehead and saying bye to Meera I made my way out ready to explore some schools for her niece.
