"you guys act like I went through a breakup" Yeji stifles her laughter, hiding her face from the team as they entered her studio where she's always at.

"hey, we gotta utilize these emotions for songs" Aeri jests, tossing a small bag of food on the table before settling down on the couch.

"don't mind her, we're just emotional support" Heejin says after smacking Aeri upright on the head, giving an awkward pat in her shoulder before they sat on the couch beside Yeji's table of magic.

Yeji swivelled on her chair, facing the group that sat comfortably on the couch, smiling as she feels her heart swell at how not asshole-like these people are being right now, like they actually got her.

"I think I owe you an explanation" she begins, shifting on her seat while the others fell deep into silence, intrigued and a little nervous because this is the first time they're ever hearing something like this from Yeji.

And it's the first time they'll get the answers from her. Although, back then, it wasn't such a big deal, it was just a simple thing that happened. Because back then, Yeji was a player in the baseball team and Minju was one of her teammates.

Ryujin and Yeji were the closest back then since the others were still doing their own thing before they started the band, until rumors started spreading about Yeji and Minju dating.

"no, Minju and I never dated" Ryujin gasped, maybe a little too dramatic that even she apologized for how it sounded. Because, for them, that wasn't the case.

Yeji was close with the baseball team, but the closest with Minju, the two were inseparable, often seen linking arms as they walk around.

"but we liked each other" and what went wrong? That's what they want to know, because everything changed so fast, Yeji voluntarily left the baseball team despite being the captain which left the team in its greatest devastation, and then ultimately stopped hanging out with Minju and her friends, and a few months after that, she's in a band.

"she never really admitted that she liked me, but I knew that she did. I knew" she emphasized.

"Minju is a sweetheart but she's very conservative, I should've known that. Except, I found out that she didn't like me as much as I did, I should've been mad but I can't because I know how conflicted she is with what she's feeling" the group nods, understanding her point. For them, it was easy to like girls, but for someone subjected to so much social pressure like Minju, it wasn't.

They trust Yeji on this one, it's not like they don't, but the allegations regarding what happened back at Yeji's baseball days were also strong. And besides, Yeji is the only one who was directly involved with Minju, the others just started having crushes on her.

"honestly, I don't really care about how it happened or whatnot. I'm just glad you were able to get over it, you know. You couldn't assure Minju that it's alright to be comfortable in her own shoes, but now, you're actively pursuing someone. And I think that's maturity about the situation" Ryujin was the first one to speak up about it.

"I don't know how you two felt back then, but yea, I'm also glad that you two got over it" Heejin agrees.

"I think Jisu will be fine, I mean, it is shocking for her and all. But she'll be fine, you don't have to worry too much" Aeri patted her shoulder before grabbing a snack from the bag, eating it while they continued to discuss about the topic.

"I hope she will"

Something about what Yeji had elaborated doesn't sit well with Minjeong.

But she has a sleepover to get ready for.
