Somehow, Y/N had manged to keep it all in, until she ploughed through her front door. She fell back against the door. Her breaths became shallow and more frequent, tears prickling in her eyes.

"Y/N?" Faye rubbed her eyes as, lifted herself off the couch.

"Errr... yeah," Y/N lied, composing herself. She brushed the tears off her face. "Why... why are you sleeping on the couch. I set up the guest room." Y/N avoided turning on the light, instead ambling through the darkness.

"I'm comfy here." Faye snuggled up to her blanket. "You're back early."

"Uh huh." Y/n slipped into her room without another word, gently closing the door.

Faye turned in Y/n's direction then flopped back into the cushions in defeat.

On the other side of the door, Y/N slid down to the floor, her head in her hands. Her sobs muffled.
