Chapter 66: My Final Goodbye

              “Good. Get here as soon as possible. I need you now. I-I mean WE need you..” Taehyung spoke and with that, he hung up. Leaving Jungkook with the most hardest mission of it all; leaving Jimin. The young man knew he couldn't waste another second to sit there and think his whole life over with Jimin… But he knew for sure he had to be quick and say his final goodbyes. The thought of it alone made his eyes water as he turned over and began to caress the shoulder of his soulmate.

               “Mochi…” Jungkook whispered as he wiped his tears away from his own eyes. “Ah… I-If I can hold these tears back for more than a minute…” Thought the young man as he rose his hand over Jimin's cheek and continued to caress his face softly. Just then, he gave Jimin a peck on the lips until Jimin finally woke up and smiled at his boyfriend. “Hey there, beautiful…”

                “Is it time to go to work?” The older asked and finally fixed his eyes over at Jungkook's face. However, Jimin alone felt the thick atmosphere and watched Jungkook's eyes grow puffy and his nose glow red. “What's wrong…?”

              “Jimin…” Jungkook whispered and got up, leaving Jimin to sit up and watch the young man gather his own towel and clothes to get to work. “I… I won't hide anything from you…”

              “W-What are you doing…? Come back to me… Come sleep with me…” Jimin whispered in a tone that sounded so heartbreaking to Jeon Jungkook, the young man just couldn't stand there and hide the fact anymore that today was their last day together.

                 “Jimin… I have to go. Don't make this hard for me..”

                 “L-Let me go too…” Jimin continued as he sat up to hold onto Jungkook's shoulder but the young man quickly shook his head and blinked his eyes with tears threatening to fall. “J-Jungkook let me go to work with you. I'm always there with you when it comes to training.”

                “We aren't training anymore, Jimin. This is it… This is it, Jimin. I have to go. Something happened to the Rocket B248-C12.” Jungkook mentioned. Softly caressing Jimin's back; bearing with the view of Jimin's lip quivering. “I have to go now and I don't want you to follow.”

                 “No, I have to guide you. You know I have to so, I'm coming with you!” Jimin continued as Jungkook then stood up and watched Jimin try to get up as well. “You're crazy if you think I'm not going to see you leave!”

                 “I don't want you to come. I don't want to say goodbye twice because I know how much it will hurt the first time I'll be telling you. Please Mochi, stay here… You don't know how much pain you'll be in when you see me blast off.” Jungkook could already imagine it. He could imagine how much screams and sobs Jimin would give as soon as the rocket launches and Jungkook couldn't bear hearing that through his own space suit. “Mochi… My Jimin… I don't know what the future holds or what it could bring us, but I promise I'll come back to you, my love. Even If it's the last thing I do. Look at me… Look at the one you love…” Jungkook whispered and cupped Jimin's face gently. At that very moment, tears dripped down in sync as soon as it rolled down their own faces. “I hate telling you this… And I know how tough it would be. I thought we had a whole month together but it was pushed so short… My one and only…. If I go, don't follow me. If I die, don't lay in my death bed with me. I want you to keep walking on our path even if I won't be by your side.”

              “N-No… No don't say that.” Begged the older as he then hugged Jungkook to allow his own tears running down Jungkook's exposed shoulder. “Please don't talk like that… Don't leave me to live a life like this alone. I don't want this… I'll kill myself if you die too. No one in this world could make me as happy as the way you’ve made me. Every giggle, every smile, it's all from you. Knowing you'll be in my life forever is what makes me smile when I meet eyes with you. J-Jungkook you have to come back! Please…”
