After making my way over to see Liam, I get in my car to make my way for this torture. The only reason I don't complain to much is because it is all just to make sure everything is how it needs to be for little man.
We still need to come up with a name for our little man. There has been a few names that we have been juggling, but we really want to see him. Liam and I both think that is when the name will just click.
Making my way through the hospital to the floor where I have to be, seems to be taking forever. I sign in and sit down. Before long, my name is called and the blood draw doesn't take five minutes after answering the questions.
Stopping by the front desk, I double check the date of my next appointment. Once that is done and all confirmed, I walk back to the parking lot.
The hairs on the back on my neck seems to stand on their own. A sense of dread going through me. I look around and don't see anyone around me, but it feels like I am being watched.
Trying to get in my car as quick as possible, I pull the keys out to unlock the door. I get in fast and look around again. Locking the door, I go through my bag for my phone.
Needing to just call Liam, I haven't ever felt like this. I dail his number and it rings until going to voicemail. Great, he must be in the garage already since he doesn't carry his cell out there. I go to dial the garage's number when a tapping sounds on my window.
I hold my chest, looking over. My anxiety flares, but I keep a neutral face. As it is Chad.
"Why don't you be a dear and step out so we can talk?"
I shake my head.
"I wouldn't harm someone who is carrying my grandchild, but I know your the one Liam is with. I have seen you and him together over the last few months. How did he like the little gift I left at his precious shop?" Chad brings up a crowbar.
"Leave now! I am calling the police." My voice shakes.
"Give Liam a message. He owes me money, no matter what I have been told from the ones I have been talking too. Or the ones I owe money too can come for you and him."
I get the sheriff's department number up, right when glass shadders going everywhere. My screams fill up my small car, as I drop my phone and cover my eyes.
Taking a peek up, Chad is gone.
My heart is beating so fast it is fixing to run off on its own. Why didn't I just start the car and drive off like a smart person? Probably because I don't want to run over a person, no matter who it is.
I reach for my phone, making me turn at a weird angle.
"Miss?" Another voice calls out.
It makes me scream once again. I have had my limit with people sneaking up on me, that I burst in tears.
"I am a Officer here at the hospital. You're okay now, let's get you out of the car. Can you unlock the door?"
I nod and push the button. The Officer opens my door and looks down.
"You can swing your leg out and I will help you out the rest of the way to miss the glass. You have a few cuts, so I will take you to the emergency room. The other Officer with me, caught the guy that done this." He talks while helping me out.
"Thank you. I need to get my phone and call Liam." I sniff, taking a step back from my car.
"If you give me his number I will call him. What is his last name?"
I give everything to the Officer and I hear when he is making the call. He gently places a hand on my lower back and walks me to the emergency room, right into the back.
Listening as the Officer gives the nurse and doctor the run down on the glass falling on me. They get to work.
"I will be right back, Mr. Anderson is here already." The Officer walks out and just a few minutes later Liam is running into the room.
The Officer follows in again, right when I wince with the Doctor removing a small piece of glass from my arm.
Liam puts his hand on my leg with me sitting up in the bed.
"Do you know who the guy was?" The Officer asks.
"Yeah, his name is Chad." I answer, still trying to calm down.
Liam turns red.
"Well he will be spending time in jail for this." The Officer response.
"He will be there longer than just because of this. Chad also has charges I pressed against him from what he done to my shop." Liam tells the Officer.
I go over what Chad told me and Liam is fuming with the deep breaths he keeps having to take. The Officer leaves within a short time of getting everything down I told him, with Liam and I both thanking him for the help he gave me.
The Doctor releases me after my cuts have been cleaned and one has some tape on it. Along with them checking out little man who right now is great and doing lots of movement. I was just told to take it easy the rest of the day.
Liam walks me out and I see his bike, letting out a small sigh.
"I just texted Mom and asked if she could come get you, since you can't be on the bike." Liam scratches his head.
"Thank you."
"Alex is going to get the car towed to the shop and put in the garage, until the windshield can be replaced." Liam informs me, making me nod my head.
Merissa is here within a short time and goes in hysterics when she sees me. I tell her everything on the drive. Maddy promising to lock up and Alex for Liam as well. Liam follows behind us on his bike, while Merissa takes me straight to the house.
I would love to be at the shop, but a nap sounds wonderful right now.
