Investigation of The Bloody Massacre

It was 10:00am. I was heading toward a town called Aznar, which is a town on the border between the human continent and the demon continent.

I had two knights guarding my carriage, which made me feel safe. The ride on the way there was quiet, but that was normal in this part of the wilderness

After a few hours of driving the carriage, the town called Aznar was now in view. Shortly after, we stopped in front of the gate.

We found it strange, since there were no knights or guards posted at the gate, which there normally are for every town or city.

After waiting outside of the city for 5 minutes, we decided to enter it to see what's wrong with this town.

When we entered the town , there was nothing living in sight, just empty and complete silence.

We walked through the whole entire town, but it was the same all over the place, no one in sight and complete silence. We then went into an inn named The Star Inn, which was a side branch inn located in this town.

There wasn't anyone inside the lobby, so we decided to check the barkeeper's room. When we entered the room, it was 3 meters in width by 5 meters in length, there was a desk with some papers on it. We saw a chair with what looked to be a dead woman on it with an extremely pale face which made us think she had bled out.

I was scared to get closer to the corpse, so one of my knights went to check on her.

"There are two deep bite marks on her neck. It seemed to be from a vampire bite, which explains her pale skin". The knight who went to the woman's corpse said,

"We should probably check the other people who live in this inn, to see if they were killed or bitten". The other knight said with a sad expression.

We then checked the rest of the people who were living in the inn and found out all of them were killed by vampires. We had a feeling that the vampire or vampires wouldn't just kill the people who were living in the inn, so we started checking other buildings as well.

We split up to check the town more quickly. I was sent to check the northeast side while the knight searched the rest of town.

I entered the first mansion I saw. It was quiet with no one in sight until I found the servant's bedroom. I opened the door of a servant's bedroom and found 10 lifeless bodies on their beds which were drained of blood. I shortly left the room and checked upstairs, where I found three other children completely drained out of blood and two adults, one on the bed and the other with all limbs chopped off nearby which were both sucked dry of blood as well.

I then went to the next house where I found 4 lifeless human corpses. After checking every room set for one bedroom, I then opened the bedroom door and found a human with his limbs chopped off. This time there was a sword which was laid right by him and some traces of a fight.

I checked another 15 houses with the same sight. If they resisted, their arms and legs would be chopped off, then killed by their blood being sucked dry. As for the ones who didn't resist, they died from their blood being sucked dry with their limbs intact.

When I got to the final house, the children and the wife were killed without any resistance, while the husband looked like he had a fight with the vampire, injuring it in the process, but eventually died from blood being sucked dry with only his torso left. I found a blood trail which led to a desolate spot outside of the town, where I think the vampire had healed itself and fled shortly after.

The knights and I decided to use The AmStar Inn as a regrouping spot, so after checking all the houses I went back to The Star Inn.

When I got there, the knights were waiting for me. They then saw me and walked toward me.
