The VIP room was considerably more luxurious, with expensive materials, but we didn't care about the aesthetics, so we sat down in the comfortable-looking chairs that faced the auction platform.

"Infuse mana into this bell if you need anything." The maid said and bowed before closing the door and leaving.

15 minutes later, it seemed that the auction was about to begin as most of the seats were now filled.

A man walked on stage who had a slightly muscular build, white hair, black eyes, wearing a suit.

"Welcome, Ladies and gentlemen! Without any more delay, let's get started with the auction." The auctioneer shouted out, gaining the attention of the crowd.

"The first item of the night is a tier 3 pill of some sort. When used, this pill puts the user into a berserk state, boosting their power by three times! The pill, entitled the Enhanced Berserker Pill, has a 5-minute duration! Plenty of time to turn the tables." The auctioneer shouted out, and I immediately lost interest.

Although 5 minutes could save your life, no one would offer you the opportunity to drink, eat, or administer medicine in front of them. As a result, the pill, in my opinion, was as useless as wearing barefoot shoes. (A/N - Barefoot shoes are shoes without a bottom, which implies they don't have an insole, midsole, or outsole to protect your feet from the terrain you're walking on.)

"Bidding starts at 450 bronze with each raise should not be less than 10 bronze!"

"This could save my life, I bid 500 bronze!"

"510 Bronze!"

"530 Bronze!"

"570 Bronze!"

Soon the Enhanced Berserker Pill was sold to a man in the auction hall for the price of 670 bronze.

"Why would they spend nearly 700 bronze on a pill?" I asked as I looked at Kasumi.

"They're desperate and don't know that there won't be much chance to use the pill in a losing battle." Kasumi said with a serious expression.

"I see." I nodded in agreement.

The next several items up for auction were similar to the pill, consisting of pills, potions, or some other type of consumable that would aid in fight or boost healing, which I didn't require.

"Now we'll start looking at weaponry, starting with a weapon that's a little special, and it's in the 5th Tier! This weapon possesses two skills! Known as the Inferno Cleaver Axe! A formidable two-handed axe for warriors of the Mid Silver Tier and higher."

"With the astounding skill Inferno Slash, the user can send out a slash of flames at their opponents, doubling their power output."

"The second skill, Fire Armor, wraps the user in flames, enhancing their defense and allowing them to burn their adversaries to a crisp when they come into contact with them. All who stand in your way will be easily destroyed by this weapon." The Auctioneer shouted out as many individuals in the audience seemed willing to buy it.

"Just to show you how powerful the axe is, we've got a Low Gold Tier Warrior who'll put it to the test it." Auctioneer shouted out as a warrior walked onto the stage.

the warrior grabbed the axe as three dummies came from beneath the stage.

The warrior raised the axe and slashed the dummy with his axe.

*Slice!

The axe penetrated the dummy halfway through.

"It slashed neatly through half of the dummy and into the enhanced Tier 6 dummy, as you can see. Now with the inferno slash turned on."

The warrior used inferno slash, which caused red flames to erupt from the blade before the warrior raised the axe and slashed the second dummy.

*Boom!

The axe cleaved cleanly through the tier 6 dummy, but I narrowed my eyes as I realized the Warrior was wearing armor that boosted speed and power, countering the weight and speed limitations of the axe and enabling him to cut through a tier 6 dummy with ease.

"Tsk, Sly Bastard." I thought as this would easily fool several of the lower tier Hunters/Vampire Slayers in the hall.

After the axe easily cleaved through the dummy, many cheers could be heard.

"Before we bid, we need to demonstrate the second skill." The auctioneer shouted, which quieted everyone cheering within the hall as he gestured for the warrior to continue.

When the Warrior unleashed the second skill, fire erupted from the sword and spread across his body before solidifying, providing him with fire armor that covered his chest, legs, and feet.

"To show the toughness of the armor, we'll have a water mage fire a tier 2 spell at it." The auctioneer shouted as a water mage walked on stage.

I closed my eyes as I was bored and ignored the auctioneer since I knew it was going to be another ruse.

I glanced at him with pity as the axe was sold to another hunter in the auction hall for 3 silver, but as it didn't evolve me, I quickly ignored it.

"Are they just going to sell trash, or are they going to sell something worthwhile?" I remarked to Kasumi, my head resting on my palm with a bored expression on my face.

"The good items come later in the auction." Kasumi said with a smile.

"True, but this is boring." I said as I looked at her with a deadpan expression.

The good items should be coming soon." Kasumi said trying to cure my boredom.

"Alright." I said as I looked back at the stage.

An hour passed while they mainly auctioned off 5th and 6th tier items, but we didn't bid since we thought they were still of low quality.

"We'll start with the first item in the second half of the auction." The auctioneer shouted out as a maid walked to the stage with two katanas.

"These katanas are both tier 7 katanas known as the Blazing Sea Dual Katanas, with one having a fire attribute and the other having a water attribute. Normally, opposing attributes would counter each other, but they complement each other instead, making both swords 5x stronger!" The starting price is 500 silver, and each subsequent increase is 50 silver." The auctioneer shouted as some people in the audience cheered.
