The five of them make the Garrison Regiments most skilled rear guard squad, commonly referred to as the "Elite Squad." With Arden Croix being the team leader.
Arden and Kain are siblings with Arden being the oldest. Arden is 25 whilst Kain is 23, also the youngest of the squad. Carlisle and Lydia are both 26 and Tobias is 24.
The five attended cadet training together and have been close ever since. Arden and Carlisle have known each other since they were children. Kain could never really be bothered to meet Carlisle until their cadet years. They are a close knit group.
As a team, they quickly became known throughout the Garrison Regiment for their outstanding skill, unparalleled teamwork and the fact that they have never lost a squad member.
Even Territorial Commander Dot Pixis has established his repect for the Elite Squad and on many occasions, shared many alcoholic drinks with the group.
Plenty say that Arden Croix's skill is almost comparable to that of Humanity's Strongest Soldier: Levi Ackerman, himself. Though the two have yet to meet.
Both Arden and Kain share a deadly secret, one that only the Elite Squad are aware of. A secret that would indefinitely result in the execution of Arden and Kain. In order to protect the Croix siblings, the rest of the Elite Squad would proudly give their lives to ensure the secret is never revealed.
The siblings are pariahs of half blood demons. With deadly abilities that would shock humanity. And unfortunate lifestyle needs that they can't rid themselves of.
Arden and Kain lived a lonely life until they met the Elite Squad. But even now, with their family-like team, the siblings still live in fear, suppressing their nature and abilities whilst trying to save humanity.
With the fall of Wall Maria 5 years ago by the Colossal and Armoured Titan, and now the attack on Trost District, how will the Garrison Regiments Elite Squad deal with the chaos of saving humanity... and everything that comes after?

As previously stated, the characters of Arden and Kain are both half blood demons. They possess demonic abilities and have demonic lifestyles, though not by choice.
