Chapter 17 Rose

I opened my eyes to find that I was in a car. I looked around for Elena and she was right next to me. I tried to move but I could. I felt the car stop and then this man came and picked up Elena and took her inside. A few minutes later, he came back for me. He lifted me up and carried me in the building. "Please, Let me go." I whispered. He stopped for a second and stared down at me. I was still dizzy from the linking spell. He then continued to walk in the house. He placed me down on a chair that was next to Elena's couch. He untied my hands and looked over to Elena.

"Please, we're hurt." She pleaded.

"I know. But just a taste." The man said. Elena cried out in pain.

But before he could do anything, a woman spoke, "Trevor, control yourself."

Trevor then stood up and looked at his friend. "Bzz Kill." He walked out of the room.

the woman stared at Elena. "Wow, you do look like her."

"Do you mean Katherine?" I asked her and she only glanced at me.

"I am not Katherine. Please, just let us go." Elena tried to reason with her.

"Be Quiet." She told Elena.

"Please you don't have to do this." Elena got up from the couch and walked towards her.

"I said be quiet."

"What do you want?" Elena ask. The woman hit her across the face and Elena flung back on the couch unconscious. I gasped out and sat up striaghter in the chair. I turned to the woman.

"I want you to be quiet." She said and walked away. I got up from my chair and went to Elena's side. I checked to see if she was okay. She is still breathing but she is going to have a bruise. I did pulled her head on my lap. How are we getting out of here?

After a bit I felt Elena shift. I looked down at her and place my hand on her cheek. "Dawn?" She sat up from my lap. "Did she.."

"No. I'm fine." I heard them talking down the hall.

"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" the man asked. Elena stood up and placed her finger to her mouth. We quietly stepped towards the door.

"They said he got it." The woman answered. We piqued around the corner. Elena took my hand as we crepted around out the door.

"Wonderful. Now what?" The man asked.

"So, that's it, Trevor. Now we wait." She said.

"Look, its not too late. We could just leave them here." he started to sound scared. We snuck close to the door. trying not to make any sound.

"I'm sick of running." She pressed.

"Well, running is better than dying."

"Elijah is old school. He will keep to our deal. We will be free." Elena stepped closer to the door but then there was a creak in floor from where she stepped. "You!" The woman turned towards us and walked up. "There is no where to run for miles. If you two think you are getting out of the house, then you are wrong." She started to walk away.

"Who's Elijah?" Elena asked. The woman turned back to us.

"He is your worst nightmare." She then walked away. Elena squeezed my hand as I looked at her. We stood there for a moment. I took a deep breath as we leaned against the wall.
