I woke up to light hitting my eyes at just the right spot. I opened my eyes to see that I was in the back of a parked car with a random man in the front seat. I sat up and looked around to see no Klaus and no Stefan. "Miss. Gilbert?" The man said as I looked at him cautiously. "Don't worry, Klaus told me not to touch you."

"Oh, yeah. That makes me less worried." I mused as I leaned against the window.

"He also told me to take you anywhere you want and to give you this." He turned and handed me a cellphone. I raised my brow at it but still took it.

I sighed. "Let me guess. I can't leave the city. I can't go anywhere without you with me. And I must keep this with me at all times." I listed.

"Yes, ma'am." The man stated as he turned the car on. "He also said that you get anything that you want."

I thought about it for a moment. "Is it all on him?" I asked and the man nodded. "Then take me to the most expensive hotel. I need to sleep in a real bed for once." I smirk as the man drove away. I looked down at the phone and unlocked it. I scrolled through the contracts and saw one number. I pressed the call button. It rang for a second until he picked it up.

"Hello, love." I could hear him smirk.

"Question. Where are we?" I asked as I looked around outside.

"We are in the magical city of Chicago. I hope you enjoy the gift I gave you."

"Oh, you mean the compelled babysitter? Not really." I sighed. "So, what's with the change all of a sudden?"

"I thought you would rather see the city then spend time with us and my witch." He said. This is strange.

"You haven't left my side all summer. Not after I tried to ran away the second time. And now you are just letting me roam free about the city?" I narrowed my eyes as the driver turned a corner.

"You sound upset, love. Did you want me to spend the day with you?" He mused.

"No, I am not complaining about that part. I am just wondering why." I said as the driver stopped in front of the hotel.

"Well, I thought it would be good for you. But if you are disappointed, I could always come to get you."

"Nope, I am good. I actually just got to the place I wanted to be. So, I am going to have to let you go." I smiled to myself and climbed out of the car.

"Well, keep your phone on you in case of anything. And before you even think about it, I asked Paul to keep you away from any other phones. So, don't think about it."

"You really did think of everything." I rolled my eyes and hung up the phone. I watched Paul come around and open the hotel door for me. I walked in and looked around. Paul went up to the front desk and book us a room. I walked around the lobby and looked at someone the people who were sitting down.

"Miss Gilbert, this way." I heard Paul and followed him to the elevator. He held the door open and when I was inside, he pushed the top floor button. Oh, yeah. Top floor baby. When the elevator opened, I stepped out and Paul guided me to the room. He opened the door and I smirked at the beautiful room.
