I knocked on the Calls door, and waited a few minutes before Ms call answered. "Hey, is Serena in?" I asked her

"Yeah, she's in their room sleeping, you can head on in, I was just about to head to work" she responded before leaving the house.

I walked into the house and straight to Serena's room, only to find her not in it. I then checked the bathroom, empty, the kitchen, empty, the dining room, empty, their moms room, empty, all empty.

I jogged into the living room and scanned it, yet I didn't see her anywhere. I ran outside and check the yard, she wasn't anywhere.

"Sam!" I exclaimed as soon as I phased into my wolf

"What, Paul?" Sam asked annoyed a few seconds later

"I can't find Serena anywhere!"

"What do you mean you can't find her anywhere?"

"I mean that I went to her house and she's not there!"

"What! I'm on my way! Call embry!"

I phased back and quickly dialed Embrys number, "Embry get home now!" I rushed out, running back inside his house

"What happened?" He asked, sounding concerned

"Serena's missing"

"I'll be there in 3 minutes!" He exclaimed before hanging up.

I ran further into the house, looking around as I did, "Serena? Serena!" I called, hoping that she turned back up.

"Will you shut up?" A voice asked quietly and I whipped my head to where a lump was laying on the couch under a bunch of blankets.

"Serena?" I asked quietly

"Yes you lug, now let me sleep" she responded from under the blankets

"Have you been there the whole time?"

"You mean when you bolted out of the house? Yes"

"Oh fuck! I thought I lost you! Embry and Sam are on their way to help find you!"

"Can't you just call them and tell them that you found me?"

"Not exactly, it's more complicated then that"

"Oh, woah! Look! It's a wolf!" She exclaimed, running up to the window

"What?" I exclaimed in shock, none of the pack would be dumb enough to let people see them, "where?"

"Out there! Look! It's brown and tan!" She exclaimed, and I finally saw that there was in fact a wolf looking in from the woods, and that wolf was Embry.

"That dumb ass" I muttered under my breath

"What?" Serena questioned

"Nothing, I didn't say anything"

"Oh, ok, well I'm going to go see the wolf!" She exclaimed before sprinting away. I watched her run outside before realizing my mistake.

"Oh fuck! No! Serena!" I yelled before running after her. I got around the house to see that Serena was only about 50 feet in front of me, so I ran faster.

She was almost to where Embry stood in his wolf form, so I punched it and managed to get to her before we got to the trees. I grabbed her hand but she kept running, so I did the only thing I could think if, tackle her to the ground.

I launched myself at her torso and wrapped my arms around her, then quickly turned us so that I would land on the ground instead of her.

"That was fun! Let's do it again! Ready! Go!" She laughed, trying to get out of my arms

"Are you stupid?" I shot at her, making her stop struggling, "There's a giant wolf 15 feet away from us and you want to 'go again'! You're insane!"

"I just wanted to have fun! I couldn't do that with the bastards that kidnapped me!"

Serena

"Watch your mouth, you're still a child!" Paul growled at me

"And you're not!" I screamed, "in more mature than you!"

"I'm an adult! So treat me like one!"

"Then act like one, Paul! Because you're being really immature right now!"

"Listen to me, Serena, you could have gotten yourself killed when you pulled that little stunt, and I don't want to explain to your family what happened, especially since I was so close to not being able to stop you!"

"Let it go Paul! Stop being nice to me! I'm not like the other girls that you've gone after!"

"What do you mean?"

"People talk, Paul, and I've heard all about you" I said before walking back towards my house.

I ran to Embrys room as soon as I got inside, slamming the door shut and locking it, before locking the window and shutting the blinds as well

Embry

"What the hell were you thinking!" Paul growled at me as soon as Serena was out of earshot

I phased back and got dressed quickly, seeing Sams wolf hidden in the trees near where we were. "You told me that my sister was missing so I came as fast as I could! And when I get here she's running towards me within seconds and you weren't following her? She would have been killed if it wasn't one of the pack!" I shot back at him, noticing that he was starting to shake

"You don't think I know that! Every night I think of her and what would happen if I were to lose her!"

"Embry! Paul! Shut up!" Sam growled, stepping out of the trees, "don't you think that one of you should go check on her? Paul did basically just break her!"

"I'll do it!" Paul exclaimed immediately, starting to walk back towards my house

"No, I'll do it, don't you think you've done enough today, Paul?" I quickly said, grabbing Paul's shoulder and stopping him

"It's not my fault" he whispered

"What's not your fault, Paul?" Sam asked

"It's not my fault that she ran out here, she saw Embrys wolf, got excited, and sprinted out, I ran after her but she's fast" Paul muttered, sitting on the grass

"Of course it's your fault Paul! Tell me, where was she when you 'couldn't find her'?" I questioned him

"She was under a pile of blankets sleeping in the couch" Paul responded

"She was in the couch? Why was she on the couch? I put her in my room last night and she should have gone back there after you woke her up this morning, was the tv on?" I asked

"No, nothing was on, not even the lights. And your mom said that she was in your room and when she wasn't there or the bathroom or the kitchen I panicked!" Paul said frantically, reliving the memory

"Show me" Sam said before he walked into the woods to phase
