“Yes, understood.”

The beautiful and impeccably dressed receptionist affirms the information on the phone before hanging up.

In front of her is Xiao Tiantian, whose big round eyes are locked right onto her. When he sees her hang up, he immediately follows up

“Well? I can go in now, right?”

The receptionist says respectfully.

“Apologies, Mr. Du replied that he has no recollection of your name.”

“What? How’s that possible, did you not communicate clearly?”

Xiao Tiantian stands on his toes and raises his body with his hands pressing straight up on the desk, “it is Xiao Tiantian. Xiao is the ‘xiao’ in 'similar on the inside and out,' Tian is the ‘tian’ in 'little egrets soar above the endless paddy fields'!”

The receptionist looks somewhat troubled, “apologies, I have not studied ancient Chinese literature deeply.”

Xiao Tiantian switches it up, “the ‘xiao’ from zodiac animals, the ‘tian’ from paddy fields.”

“Then I did not make a mistake,” the receptionist smiles again, “Mr. Du’s reply is as I relay it. Can I help you with anything else?”

“Can, can you call him again? This time I’ll talk to him.”

“Apologies, that will be difficult, and I do not have such authority.”

Xiao Tiantian goes back-and-forth with the receptionist for about a quarter of an hour, and she firmly rejects helping him ask again, or tell him his contact details. He could only leave the building looking defeated. He raises his head, looking at the top floor of the building.

(Uploader: Yo, just leave DY alone, you want all of em so what's the problem if one out of all the others don't want you no more. This is why I don't like white lotuses ;p )

The building is over a hundred metres tall, and plated with glass windows. It is currently reflecting the busy streets behind him. He can still recall You‘s office is at the top floor with a large window glass inside.

Once, he also stood in front of that window, embraced by You, while looking down on all the lands You had conquered for him.

When the setting sun cast its dying shade on the silhouettes of the two, it was warm; mesmerising.

It felt as if it had only occurred just yesterday. He can still recall it so vividly, so why would You forget about it.

Isn’t this building that is so similar in design to that one in that world, the best proof in and of itself?

So, of course he couldn’t have forgotten his name. It must have been the receptionist that failed to clearly convey his name.

Xiao Tiantian sits on a curb in front of a flowerbed, lifts his face up and looks distant staring at the entrance.

He came here not exactly for You himself either. It’s for Haoyu.
