Qin Ge does not clarify, however. Instead, he lets go before Du You could ask more and straightens himself.
Then he uses the gel on the table and disperses it evenly, then, he lifts up Du You’s bangs and fixes it backwards. Then, he’s done.
“Done.”
Qin Ge now looks no different in temperament than usual, not a single trace of his emotional instability from just now, as if it was a whole different person from the one hugging Du You tightly just now.
He walks around to fix Du You’s tie, “the driver is probably here. Let’s go, gege.”
He takes a step back and gives Du You space to come out.
Du You glances over, finding Qin Ge’s smile the same as usual.
“…”
He stands up and walks outside.
Since their first meeting Du You has found Qin Ge odd, but the fragments of memories he recovered has made him able to understand him slightly.
At least, he understands him more than he once did, he thought. But now he has doubts about whether he actually understood Qin Ge at all.
‘Ding.’
His phone again. It’s assistant Xiao again, this time she says she’s already outside.
Qin Ge opens the door for him.
There’s someone sitting outside his bedroom door, who springs up as soon as the door opens.
“Lover!”
Ryan acts as if the person in front of him is invisible to him. His passionate gaze passes right through him onto Du You.
He’s completely back to normal, apparently.
Du You thought he’d given up on him, “what are you doing here?”
“Waiting for you to come out.”
After Du You walked upstairs with the unlikeable guy he followed along, but the door was shut and he couldn’t open it.
This is probably a ‘lock,’ which he can break easily, but it might make Du You angry. After pawing at it for a while, he decides to sit down and wait.
“Are you going out now?” Ryan says, enthusiastic, “I will see you off.”
He tries to go inside but an arm stops him.
“No need, I will escort him outside,” Qin Ge is still smiling, “Xiao Tiantian is gone now, so go back from whence you came, dumb doggy.”
Ryan is immediately set off by the diminutive form of address, and bares his teeth towards Qin Ge.
Du You looks at them before lowering his head again. He is replying to the assistant’s message, and as he does so he walks around the two of them, making his way out of the bedroom and towards the stairs.
Ryan immediately abandons his feud with Qin Ge and follows along, but a few steps in and he pauses, then looks back at Qin Ge, saying, “I won’t go back,” Ryan is speaking with a dead-serious tone for once, “unless my lover agrees to go back with me, I won’t go back.”
Qin Ge narrows his eyes, but does not reply.
After that, Ryan switches back to his miniature beast form and runs down the stairs.
Qin Ge walks forward in silence, his expression growing gloomier by the second.
The auntie is washing the dishes on the first floor, which can be heard from the living room.
