Chapter Fifty-Three

Iris Kim

Iris smiled as she placed the napkin in her lap. She began putting breakfast food on her plate as she heard huge footsteps running down the hallway.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I had an early meeting." Hong Joong pecked her cheek.

"Mhm." Iris scuffed as she chewed her food.

"I'm sorry Lovie." He said as he sat down.

"It's fine." She said.

"Promise?" He asked.

"Promise." She said as she continued eating.

"Good, are you ready for today?" He asked.

"Yes it's the parade, this should be fun." She smiled.

"It should, what are you wearing?" He asked.

"Something comfy, it's a parade." She said.

"Right." He nodded as he began eating.

"You missed dinner last night....again." She said.

Hong Joong face palmed himself as he sighed.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"Mhm, I'm going to go get ready." She smiled before pecking his cheek.

Hong Joong opened his mouth to say something but she walked away.

"Axel." Hong Joong said.

"Your Highness." Axel said.

"You may speak freely but did her highness seem...angry?" He asked.

"She was smiling, I doubt it." Axel said.

"Exactly." Hong Joong sighed.

Iris closed the door and sighed as she looked through her closet.

"Your Highness, are you upset?" Eden asked.

"Oh no, just I've been going to bed alone, eating alone, bathing alone...even have to have an orga- look you get the picture." Iris said as she aggressively look through the closet.

"Jesus." Eden said.

"I'm sorry, I need to calm down." Iris sighed as she took a few deep breaths.

"It's ok your highness-"

"No it is not ok, he is not the only one busy I AM BUSY AS WELL YET IM STILL AT DINNER!" She yelled.

Iris began to breath heavy as she held her chest, Eden immediately caught her as she fell.

"Your highness breath, look at me." Eden said as she squeezed her hand.

Iris sucked in her breath before releasing. She squeezed Eden's hand tight as she looked at her with wide eyes.

"It's ok, everything is fine." Eden said.

"Eden." Iris mumbled.

"I'm here." She said.

"Thank you." Iris whispered.

Eden helped Iris up before pouring her a glass of water.

"Please keep this between us." Iris said before taking a sip.

"How many times have you had these anxiety attacks?" Eden asked.

"This is the first one." She said.

"I have to tell his highness." Eden said.

"I know." She sighed.

Iris rubbed her hands through her hair before finally finding an outfit. Eden dismissed herself as Iris got dressed.
