I'm stating to shake. I thought I was used to his lifestyle, maybe I'm not, maybe my skin isn't too thick after all.

As soon as they started shooting I lost it, I'm speeding up at the max as this point and I keep calling Tamir but I'm always sent to voicemail.

Where do I go? Do I go home? Do I even stop at all? Now that Tamir isn't picking up, where do I lead them?!

"Ahh!" I scream listening to the back window shatter. "Wha-" I look back then wipe my face dry. I have to lose them. I have to do something! More bullets fly through my car and I duck trying to protect myself.

I look up to see a car in front of me then check my mirror to see the two behind me. "No.." how'd he manage to get in front of me. "Oh my gosh," I start to break down again. I had one job! One damn job and I couldn't even-

My phone rings, I have never picked up faster in my life. "They shot my back window!" I scream into the phone.

"Where are you?"

"I don't know!"

"Look around you!"

"I can't!" I sob. "There's a car in front of me and I can't-"

"Give me a street Halcyon!" God I hate him! I start to look around frantically for a street sign, anything, anywhere. "Halcyon!"

"I'm looking!" My blood has never boiled hotter. I pass to many too fast, my passenger seats headrest is blown off causing me to go into more panic. There! "Elm street! I passed that, does that make sense to you?" I don't get a response and I look down at my phone. He's still on the call.

"Tamir?!" I panic at his silence. Where did he go?! "Tami-" I watch a black car smash into the car in front of me making my jaw drop.

"Get in front of me." Is that him?! "Now Halcyon!" I race to get in front of him but my car drops form the back and I slow down rapidly.

"Tamir!" I feel the other side of my car drop and a force knocks into me. I flip. No the car flips and then my body is levitating. Glass kisses my cheeks like the wind and my hand lift of the wheel before my head is smack into it.

Riiiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg.

My seatbelt knocks the wind out of me as I hang in my seat. I crashed.

My ears a stuffed with cotton muffling any sound but the annoying ring, that damn ring that echos from ear to ear non stop.

Why is it so dark? Why can't I breath?!

My eyes flutter open answering my question, I can't seem to focus my eyes seeing two of everything everywhere I look. I try move and feel pain radiate up my neck making me groan. I need to get out of here.

My chest aches as I try taking in harsh breaths, I reach for my belt pushing with all I can then drop face first. My neck scream in pain. I have to keep pushing anyways, I have to get out this car, to Tamir.

I pick my head up in agony before shoving my door open and crawl out feeling glass jab into my skin. My vision clears and what I see is far worse then what I feel.

Tamir is pounding his first into a limp man, no gun, raw fist in contact getting bloody and stained. I lose feeling everywhere in my body and watch confounded.

He pulls away only to pull his gun out and shoot the man dead, I don't understand...I understand why I don't hear the gun shot. I was ready for it, at least I think I was.

He doesn't stop there, a second guy attempts to crawl away but Tamir shoots his hand then stomps on it, I watch the mans mouth open to radiate an agonizing scream but yet again, I hear nothing.

I part my lips to beg him to stop but nothing comes out, nothing but air. I watch. That's all I can do, that's all I'm good for apparently! How did I fail to follow one instruction! Im so pathetic!

He turns. Our eyes lock and he start to move to me. Gun in hand, hands and clothes stained red, he looks like he's hungry for more blood, my blood. The second he drops in front of me, I see it all in his eyes. He's relieved.

His mouth moves but I'm too focused on the splashes of blood painted on his cheeks and forehead to read his lips. A hand is placed on my arm and my eyes drops to the bloody hand.

"I can't...I can't hear you." I pick my head up trying not to wince at my neck pain. "I can't hear you." I don't know how loud I'm speaking, but I hope it's loud enough.

He leans in taking my body into his, I feel his rapid heartbeat just like mine, his shoulders rise only to fall, he clings onto me. I want my hands to respond, to hug him back but I'm still frozen. I'm then lifted.

He doesn't miss a beat to put me in his car and we're racing off.

In his mansion I'm taken into a room that looks like a hospital room. I try to look around and take it all in only to be reminded of my whiplash. Instead I just drop my head and wait for Tamir to come back. No way after that would he leave me unsupervised, Kent and another is in here with me.

Then an unknown man walks to immediately start cleaning my wounds. They exchange words, him and Tamir but I can't read their lips fast enough to catch any of it.

Mid way through the man cleaning my cuts my ears empty out like they were clogged with water at one point. Another ring echos like a cleanse before it stops and I hear again.

"No sir, she'll be fine." The man says, his voice is higher then I expected it to be. He raises his hand to my head and dabs lightly with a cloth then when he pulls away I see blood, am I bleeding from my head.

"Fix her! Check again!" Tamir orders behind him meeting my eyes.

"Halcyon," I look back at the man. "You can hear me now can you?"

"Yes," it comes out a whisper.

"Feeling light headed by any chance?"

"No."

"Feel pain anywhere else?"

"My neck." I tell him and he reaches out to check me.

"Whiplash." He pulls away going back to my head. "I'll give you something cold to put on there and a few pain relievers, you should feel good as new in no time." I don't nod, as much as I want to, I don't. I know my neck would only hurt.
