Chapter ten: "Long Ago"

"If I didn't love this fucking idiot I would've just murdered him like you suggested," Alice told me over the phone while we got ready for the wedding

The dress that I wore was beautiful it was not as beautiful as the bride who will soon walk down the aisle with a pretty smile on her face
Ramira was trying to hold back tears when her Mom appeared along with the rest of her family

My phone was still close to my ear while I kept hearing Alice keep on ranting some more, it was hard to focus on what she was trying to say to me because I keep getting distracted by all the family members who would be attending the wedding.

"And thus I have made my final decision of taking a break from him" Alice announced to me which broke me off my trance and back to the conversation

"Wait, WHY!? Your relationship with Will was going so well, what happened?"
I have gotten used to the pair being all lovey-dovey in front of my face that it would be a new feeling to see the both of them not act like it

At a far distance, I could see Cloud who was walking up to me in a short-sleeved white button-up dress shirt while wearing jorts like the rest of the groomsmen but a different color and design since he isn't one.

The royal blue off the shoulder bridesmaid dress that I wore was designed specifically for a beach wedding and I wore sandals so it would be easy to remove when walking on the sand, his eyes looked at me up and down "You look pretty"

I grinned up at him "You look handsome, even if you wear jorts"

He puffed out his chest because I boosted his ego "I look good in anything, don't I?" He smirked
His words brought me back to when we were in Banff, I could still remember that even a trash bag would look good on him like he told me

It only happened last year but it felt so long ago, all those events seems so surreal
The time I ran away, the friends I made along the way during my stay, and finally facing Cloud as I confess to him

Caramia handed me a bracelet that was made from little daisies before she walked away handing the bracelets out to the girls

Cloud took the bracelet from my hand and held my wrist so he could put it on me, he leaned in close to my ear "The wedding is gonna start soon, I should probably go to my seat" he whispered before starting to head straight to his seat that was located near the piano.

The camera was hanging around his neck that swings sideways while he walked
He came prepared

There is just something charming when he loves taking pictures every time we were together or when there is an occasion that requires us to dress up like the wedding today, I once saw photos of us in a folder of his laptop while he was busy doing his homework.

It was not a few, there were a ton of them compiled in there like it is a secret formula or something
I just wanna know why does that file need a password

I tried to guess the password and it turned out to be my birthday
The reason why my first guess was my birthday is that the password to his luggage was also my birthday, that time when he stole my t-shirt and I tried to open his luggage

It was the day before he flew to Spain for a photoshoot

Now that I think about it

I was so oblivious, too oblivious in fact that I would be champion in any competition of the most oblivious idiot. The signs were all there but I just kept doubting it because of my insecurities.

Granny Rita was happily talking to Ramira along with Mamita Daphne about marriage advice
Ramira should take notes because their marriage was strong than any form of steel

Mom and Dad were already sitting with their brothers and sisters, Ramira's family wasn't falling behind in terms of the number of family members. All of us were overwhelmed when her family came and there were not enough seats to accommodate them all so we have to borrow seats from the hotel.

"Penelope get ready!" Aunt Holly reminded me while her hand was resting on her pregnant belly, she now sat beside Uncle Cashew and waited for me to reach the piano which was located next to the bouquet.

I waited for everyone to go to their respective places and at the corner of my eye, I could see Cloud pointing his camera at me. Ella gave me a nod which is the sign that I should start playing.

My fingers moved flawlessly across the piano, I turned my head to see the flowers girls who are some of Ramira's little sisters. They giggled while throwing flower petals on the ground while the ring bearer who was one of my little cousins held the pillow where the ring was placed on top.

After the flower girls and the ring bearer reached the front, it was time for Ramira to appear. Dylan looks so nervous that he kept fiddling his hands a little that his mother kept giving him signals that he should calm down.

He glanced at me and I took the chance to squint my eyes at him
Try running away, I dare you.

Cloud tried to keep his composure because he saw the exchange looks that me and Dylan did, he knows what was going on and tried to keep quiet about it.

Once Ramira reached the front, she kissed her Dad's cheek before holding Dylan's hand to join him in front of the priest. The nervous face that Dylan made disappeared once he held Ramira's hand

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Ramira Singh and Dylan Price"

I walked up to my seat beside Cloud so I could get a better view of the exchanging of vows, after Ramira said her vows it was Dylan's turn and everyone who was with us during rehearsal looked anxious while giving each other hidden glances.

Dylan took a deep breath before looking at Ramira in the eyes "To be honest I forgot my scripted vows but I made the vow myself"

We all chuckled at his honesty while Ramira has a grin on her face

"I Dylan Price would vow to always cherish and respect you as my wife and to always cook you food since you kept wanting to eat mines since our first day in college" He joked

Ramira's family laughed that Ramira's cheeks were a bit red from being a bit shy

"But nevertheless, I still want to be with you until we turn gray and old. I'm thankful for meeting you and to have the chance to spend my entire life with you"

While ge was saying his vows, I felt my eyes water because of me being the emotional wreck I am. Cloud pulled out a handkerchief from his pockets and gave it to me, I happily accepted the handkerchief and wiped my tears "I can't believe I'm witnessing his marriage, We're getting old"

He held my hand and rested it on his lap "At least we're getting old together" he assures me

I'm almost becoming an adult in October, from childhood to teens and onwards to adulthood. We were together whether we liked it or not.

The best part is that we made memories even if they were not that memorable

I watched the two kiss to seal the deal before everybody cheered for the two, Dylan carried Ramira and spun her around happily. My head turned to face Juliet and pointed my index finger at her

"You're next," I said them stuck my tongue out

She smiled at me before squeezing one of my cheeks "I know" Juliet then gave Romeo a look beside her

Romeo waved to Cloud "Dude when on earth did you get here!?" Cloud asked Romeo all surprised because Romeo wasn't here during the rehearsal

Romeo raised one of his brows at Cloud "Bruh, your dad is not the only one rich in the family. I used Mama's family's helicopter to get here"

"Any word from Grandma about the wedding?" Cloud asked worriedly and Romeo sadly shook his head

"She doesn't want to attend"

Are they not close with their Grandma?
